OCEAN’S BLUEPRINT: Healthy Seas, Thriving Fisheries
The Future Leaders of the Philippines Fisheries Sub-chapter of CAPSU Dayao Satellite College successfully conducted the webinar entitled “Ocean’s Blueprint: Healthy Seas, Thriving Fisheries” on May 18, 2026, via Zoom, with a total of 188 participants composed of fisheries students, faculty members, staff, and invited guests.
In celebration of the Month of the Ocean 2026, the webinar served as a meaningful platform for promoting awareness on ocean conservation, sustainable fisheries management, and environmental responsibility. Anchored on the theme, “Sustaining Ocean Health, Sailing a Resilient Nation,” the activity emphasized the importance of protecting marine ecosystems and strengthening collective efforts toward a sustainable and resilient fisheries sector.
The discussion provided fisheries students with valuable insights into current environmental challenges and responsible fisheries practices, equipping them with knowledge that will contribute to their academic growth and future professional endeavors. Moreover, the webinar inspired participants to become active advocates of marine conservation and sustainable resource management in their respective communities.
The organization extends its sincere appreciation to our esteemed resource speaker, Ms. Raesa Mae B. Matias of BFAR VI, as well as to the working committee, faculty, staff, and all participants for their support and active participation in making this activity a success.

This morning, the FLP Fisheries Subchapter facilitated the food pantry—a student-led initiative providing accessible, nutritious meals to support students' well-being.
This effort was made possible through the dedicated help of our 1st and 2nd-year fisheries students, who worked together to ensure that fellow students have the fuel they need to succeed.
We believe that academic excellence and health go hand in hand. It was a privilege to serve our fellow students today!
