Manuel F. Onato NHS Outfit 177 Scouts Lead School Clean-Up Drive

“Once a Scout, always a Scout!”

Living up to one of the Boy Scouts’ 12 key points — Clean — the Manuel F. Onato NHS Outfit 177 showed their commitment to service today by leading a clean-up drive in their school. The activity aimed to ensure safety and promote health for both students and fellow scouts.

The effort was spearheaded by SSLG President Gerywel Porras, serving as Senior Crew Leader (SCL). Despite the small number of participants, the scouts worked with determination, proving that true service comes from the heart.

With the guidance of Outfit Advisor Sir Elio Pabian Ver Fasoy and the unwavering support of Principal III Dr. Micle Haguisan, the team demonstrated that every act of service — no matter the scale — makes a lasting impact.

𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧🙏☝

𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚 ay muling papasok sa court, handang-handa sa isa na namang kapanapanabik na hamon sa Gametime Sports Volleyball 17-Under Tournament ngayong Agosto 23–25 sa Bunatatala Gym, Jaro, Iloilo City. Ito ay isa na namang Clash of the Rivals — isang pagkakataon para masubok ang galing ng aming mga atleta, lumago sa karakter, at parangalan ang talento na ipinagkaloob sa amin ng Diyos.

Ngunit sa aming paghahanda para sa laban na ito, kami ay may kinakaharap na malaking hamon sa labas ng court — kakulangan sa pondo. Kami po ay taos-pusong humihingi ng tulong mula sa inyong mapagmalasakit at bukas-palad na puso upang matugunan ang aming pangangailangan sa pagkain, tuluyan, at iba pang gastusin na kinakailangan para kami’y makalahok.

Ang inyong suporta ay higit pa sa tulong pinansyal — ito ay isang puhunan sa pangarap ng ating mga kabataan, isang inspirasyon para magpatuloy sila sa pagsusumikap, at isang patunay na naniniwala sa kanila ang kanilang komunidad.

Gaya ng sinasabi sa Galacia 6:9 — “Huwag tayong magsawa sa paggawa ng mabuti, sapagkat sa takdang panahon tayo’y aani kung hindi tayo susuko.”

Naniniwala kami na sa tulong ninyo, muli naming madadala ang karangalan sa ating bayan, makakapukaw ng inspirasyon sa ibang kabataan upang ipaglaban ang kanilang pangarap, at mapaparangalan ang Diyos sa bawat serve, spike, at panalo.

Senior Tigers Scouts of Manuel F. Onato National High School ---One-strong scouts Participated at Council Scout Youth Forum

One dedicated young scouts Gerywel Porras from MFONHS BSP Outfit 177 recently made his mark at the Provincial Youth Scout Forum, demonstrating his leadership, problem-solving skills, and commitment to community service.

The forum, held at Pres. Roxas Memorial National High School, Roxas City, Capiz , brought together scouts from across the province to discuss pressing issues, share innovative ideas, and develop action plans for positive change.

The forum focused on fostering youth leadership and encouraging scouts to take an active role in addressing challenges within their communities.

Scout Porras is now committed to bringing their newfound knowledge and inspiration back to his local community, where they plan to implement his proposed projects and continue to make a positive impact as the new elected SSLG president of the MFONHS.

Scouts School Wide Clean-Up Drive 2025 – Celebrating Baden-Powell Day

Saturday, February 22, 2025 Senior Scouts of Manuel F. Onato NHS doing a special initiative in celebration of Baden-Powell Day. This event embodies the Scouting spirit of service, leadership, and environmental responsibility.

The activity Spearheaded by the new era SCL, ACL, Rea Jean Arlao, Gerwel Porras and Princess Loraine Barcelona and senior scouts who worked together to remove litter, clean the hand washing area of the said school, and promote sustainable practices. By taking action, we honor our founder Baden-Powell’s legacy and inspire others to care for our planet.
