VISION
We, the alumni of the Daughters of Charity Schools, envision ourselves as Christ-centered, autonomous, yet interdependent partners of the D.C. Community working collaboratively with the other sectors of society as promoters of the integral development of peoples.
1. Our dream in the education ministry is to form enlightened and committed Filipino Christians who visibly witness to Gospel values as members of the Christian community and contribute to social transformation by:
• showing respect for HUMAN DIGNITY
• promoting the INTEGRITY OF CREATION
• putting their personal gifts and talents at the service of the COMMON GOOD, with a PREFERENTIAL LOVE for the POOR
• working for JUSTICE, PEACE, and SOLIDARITY.
2. The Health Ministry envisions the attainment of holistic health of persons, families, and communities, particularly the poor, through comprehensive health programs and services.
3. We envision ourselves as contributing to the building of a local Church that is an empowered community of disciples in mission with a preferential option for the poor.
4. We see an empowered church of the poor emerging from small communities of followers of Jesus giving new life to the Church and the marginalized in the society.
CORE VALUES
• Respect for human dignity
Reverence for man and woman and concern for the promotion of human rights and total human development.
• Compassionate Service
Sensitivity to the needs of others and zealous response of caring born out of a gentle and humble heart.
• Co-responsibility
Spirit of dialogue, partnership, participation, teamwork and collaboration in all endeavors for the good of all.
• Solidarity
Sense of communion with each person with all peoples on earth regardless of race, color, creed and socio-economic status and a firm determination to promote the common good.
• Simplicity
Love of, and living out of truth and freedom, honesty and transparency in relationships; modest and simple lifestyle.
• Social Commitment
Audacious dedication to the transformation of communities and society through change of personal attitudes and change of unjust social structure.
