The games may have officially concluded, but the passion, pride, and unbeatable spirit of the Purisimians community burn brighter than ever!
Anchored on the theme "CPC @79: United in Faith, Strong in Hope," the 79th Grand Intramurals held at the San Lorenzo Event Center (SLEC) proved once again that Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion is not only a battleground for athletic dominance, but a vibrant home for unity, talent, and artistic passion. The four-day spectacle brought together students from across departments in a celebrated showcase of sportsmanship, culture, and poise.
The festivities kicked off with a vibrant motorcade winding from the CPC Main Campus, leading into a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Virgilio F. Ciudadano, Jr., SThD, alongside the CPC clergy. Transitioning from prayer to performance, each competing department rocked the dance floor during the Mass Cheerdance Competition. Synchronized beats, vibrant costumes, and loud cheers echoed throughout the venue, setting a high standard for the rest of the Intramurals. In a hard-fought showcase, the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) emerged as Champion, with the Junior High School and Senior High School departments securing 1st and 2nd Runner-Up, respectively.
Following the opening spectacle, athletes took to the courts and fields for two intense days of sporting events. Every matchup pushed competitors to their limits, showcasing raw determination, sportsmanship, and pure grit.
The final day shifted the spotlight to creativity, poise, and intellect through the Literary and Musical Competitions, where Purisimians proved their mastery beyond the sports arena. From powerful vocal showcases and graceful choreography to sharp spoken word and literary masterpieces, students showcased the breadth of their cultural talents.
To cap off the four-day event, candidate pairs took the stage for the highly anticipated search for Mr. and Ms. CPC 2026. Exuding elegance, intellect, and grace, the candidates did not merely compete for crownsโthey proudly embodied the true character of a Purisimian student-leader. At the end of a breathtaking night, CHTM claimed the title of Mr. CPC 2026, while the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) captured the crown for Ms. CPC 2026.
Win or lose, every cheer, drop of sweat, and breathtaking performance highlighted our unwavering Purisimian spirit. From the entire JPIA community, congratulations to all our athletes, artists, candidates, and event organizers who made this yearโs Intramurals truly unforgettable!
