Earlier today, September 26, 2026, our university familyโ€”faculty, staff, student organizations, and ROTC personnelโ€”united for the University-Wide H.U.M.B.A.K. Coastal Cleanup 2026 in observance of National Clean-Up Month and International Coastal Cleanup Day! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š

From 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, teams across our campus community worked together to:
๐Ÿ“ Clean and clear the coastline stretching from Concepcion Norte Sea Wall to the Malag-alag Shoreline.
๐Ÿ“ Partner with LGU in cleaning designated shoreline areas in the community.

Our volunteers didn't just pick up litterโ€”they also sorted waste as they worked and carefully recorded the collected waste using official ICC forms, ensuring that every effort contributed to a larger environmental cause. With guidance from faculty and advisers, everyone observed proper safety practices and handled waste responsibly.

Kudos to everyone who participated and took action to care for our shores today. Together, we continue to keep our coastline clean and beautiful! ๐ŸŒŠ

Nagsimula siyang maglingkod sa komunidad sa edad na 16 at naging aktibo sa mga proyekto ng kanilang barangay. Bilang SK Chairman, patuloy niyang hinihikayat ang kabataan na makilahok sa pagpaplano at pagpapatupad ng mga proyekto para sa kanilang komunidad.

Si Mindo ay nagtapos ng Bachelor of Elementary Education sa Romblon State Universityโ€“Santa Maria Campus, Batch 2026.

Romblon State University - Santa Maria Campus successfully conducted Handumanan: Kulay, Tunog, at Galaw ng Alaala, a celebration of Filipino culture and artistic expression, at the Municipal Auditorium on September 11, 2026.

The celebration commenced with a doxology, followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by the UGMAHIMIG Chorale. It was then followed by the production number, the opening remarks of Mr. June B. Mijares, and the presentation of the board of judges led by Ms. Vanesa D. Bringas.

The Music Arts Competition then showcased talents in Instrumental Solo (Guitar), Vocal Solo (Kundiman), Pop Solo, and Vocal Duet. This was followed by the message from Dr. Arlo R. Mortos, Campus Director. The competition continued with the Dance Arts Competition, featuring Folkdance, Contemporary Dance, and Street Dance.

The program continued with an Inspirational Message from Hon. Roland M. Largueza, Municipal Vice Mayor of Santa Maria, followed by the Literary Arts Competition featuring Deklamasyon and Dramatic Monologue.

The event proceeded with the awarding of Plaques of Recognition, an intermission number by the UGMAHIMIG Chorale, and the announcement and awarding of winners from the different competitions. The celebration concluded with the closing remarks of Dr. Ruel M. Visca and the RSU Hymn.

The activity was part of the Job Ready Program registration for students from the different campuses of Romblon State University. The program aims to help prepare students for employment by providing opportunities and services that can enhance their readiness for the workplace.

The registration activity at the Sta. Maria Campus was led by Ms. Myca Lucila R. Macaya, Ms. Sheena G. Fabello, and Ms. Lyka Jane D. Ballesta, who facilitated and assisted the students throughout the registration process.

Students received all the information they needed about the Job Ready Program and were assisted during the registration process. Additionally, the activity gave students a chance to learn more about programs that can help them transition from University life to the working world.
