𝘌𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 1:

𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱: “𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁.” 🧬✨

No ordinary laboratory activity here! The BS Biology 1st Year – General Botany Lab Squad brought the cell cycle to life through a creative mitosis dance for our Midterm Practicum in Laboratory.

We gave:

✨ DNA duplication during Interphase
✨ Chromosome entrance during Prophase
✨ Perfect formation during Metaphase
✨ The ultimate split during Anaphase
✨ Two-nuclei finale during Telophase
✨ Double-cell success during Cytokinesis

Science was served. Choreography was delivered. Chromosomes stayed organized. 💅

A reminder that Biology is not just about memorizing terms, it is about seeing life processes unfold in the most creative ways possible.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗞: 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱

Project LIGTASK officially comes to a meaningful close proving that learning becomes more powerful when shared with the community. Through informative discussions, active participation, and genuine collaboration, the seminar became more than just a program; it became a bridge of knowledge, awareness, and service.

From health education to practical community awareness, every session reflected the true mission of 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙇𝙄𝙂𝙏𝘼𝙎𝙆: 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚. The success of this activity was made possible by the support, enthusiasm, and cooperation of everyone involved.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the faculty and staff for their guidance and unwavering support, and to our esteemed resource speakers for generously sharing their knowledge and expertise throughout the seminar. Your dedication and commitment greatly contributed to the success and impact of this program.

As the program ends, may the knowledge gained continue to guide everyday practices and inspire positive change within the community. Because in Project LIGTASK, the seminar may be over but the awareness lives on.

A successful day of learning, service, and community collaboration! 🌍✨

The 4th Year Biology students of Romblon State University, together with the Biology Students Society, successfully conducted the AQUALITY Community Extension Program at San Andres Public Covered Court last April 30, 2026.

Through seminars, demonstrations, and house-to-house information dissemination, we shared practical and science-based solutions on water safety, sanitation, and the prevention of waterborne diseases. More than an academic requirement, this initiative became a meaningful step toward building healthier and more resilient communities.

To our partner barangays, local officials, participants, and everyone who supported this activity—thank you for becoming part of this journey toward safe and clean water for all. 💙✨

Together, we continue to prove that even small actions can create ripples of change.

Project LIGTASK is a community-based initiative to share research findings and spread awareness focusing on three key areas: the quality and perception of of piped-water system, adherence to meat safety practices, and use of locally available medicinal plants for hypertension.

This meaningful community extension activity aims to promote awareness, provide valuable health information, and strengthen community knowledge on treatment, safety, and wellness through interactive discussions and learning sessions.

AQUALITY is a community extension project rooted in the belief that scientific knowledge should serve the people. This initiative is a proactive response to the challenges of water safety, aiming to transform how we interact with our most precious resource.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀:

🛡️ 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞: We provide a deep dive into the science of waterborne diseases—identifying how they spread and, more importantly, how to break the cycle of infection within the household.

🧪 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞-𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: We demonstrate practical, accessible water treatment methods. From understanding the effectiveness of boiling to the mechanics of filtration and solar disinfection (SODIS), we empower residents with DIY solutions.

🏘️ 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: By partnering with barangay officials from Marigondon Norte, Marigondon Sur, Jun Carlo, Pag-Alad, Mabini, Doña Trinidad, and Poblacion, we aim to establish sustainable water monitoring practices at the local level.

👣 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫: Through house-to-house visits and the distribution of educational materials, we ensure that safety protocols reach every kitchen and every tap, leaving no household behind.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀?
This project isn't just a requirement; it’s our contribution to Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation). By localized education, we reduce the incidence of illness, decrease the burden on our local health systems, and foster a culture where clean water is a shared responsibility.
