MESSAGE || GOMEZ, ANGELO D.

"To be, or not to be," as Shakespeare once wrote, a question that has lingered in my mind more times than I can count—a question that asks, “Will it be worth it?” or “Will I regret stopping here?”

Becoming the SSLG President was never just a title, to me it had become a journey of actively trying to perform well even if, sometimes you are hurt, sad or mistreated and still keep on showing up and making the best decision for the student body. There were days when I questioned myself, wondering if I had the energy, the patience, or even the wisdom to make the right choices.

In times of doubt, I am always reminded of the quote from Benjamin Frank "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" and I believe the accuracy of this as I've always had the plans in my mind laid out weeks or even months before ex*****on, all throughout my journey I have developed to become the leader who plans ahead, setting goals, and making sure every small step contributes to something bigger.

The idea that I kept in mind is that no one is going to save you, Plan B is a myth. Life doesn’t hand you a backup, and no one else is going to carry your dreams for you. You are your own safety net. You are your own backup plan. Every decision I made, every risk I took, reminded me that I had to trust myself, always plan ahead, and keep on going even when things didn’t go as smoothly as I hoped.

Looking back, what I cherish most isn’t just the successes or the projects we completed. It’s the growth I experienced, the people I met, and the realization that there won't be answers in every questions but we can plan what to do to create one.

Every late night, every brainstorming session, every tiny victory and setback taught me something invaluable: leadership is messy, wonderful, exhausting, and worth every moment.

As I step down to my position may we always be encouraged in learning to plan, to adapt, and to trust yourself enough to become the plan.

I am Angelo D. Gomez, signing off as your SISHS SSLG President.

MESSAGE | GALLARDO, RAINIER V.

"Stay untouchable."

You are not here to fit in. You are here to set the pace. Make decisions. Stand on them. Fix what others ignore. Protect your people. Elevate your team."

Leave a standard no one can reach."

I am Rainier V. Gallardo your SSLG Vice President '24 - '25.
As I step down from my role as SSLG Vice President, I carry more than a title. I carry responsibility, pressure, and the lessons that shaped me along the way.

This role taught me how to lead even when I felt unsure. It showed me that leadership is not about being the loudest voice, but about listening, deciding, and standing firm when it matters most. Not every plan works. Not every effort gets recognized. Not every moment feels rewarding. Still, you show up. You do the work. You stay committed.

There were days that tested my patience and nights that questioned my capability. Those moments built resilience. They taught me how to adapt, how to work with different people, and how to stay grounded under pressure. Leadership is not perfect. It is consistent.

I also want to acknowledge something important. Without our president, Gelo, this journey would not have been the same. Your leadership, guidance, and trust held the team together in moments that mattered. This experience would not be what it is without you.

To the next set of officers, lead with intention. Do not chase positions, chase purpose. Be decisive and stay open. Value your team, because you will not survive this role alone. There will be challenges, conflicts, and setbacks. Face them. Learn from them. Grow from them.

Do not let titles define you. Let your actions speak. Let your work leave impact.

And most importantly, stay untouchable. Not in ego, but in discipline, in standards, and in the way you carry yourself even when no one is watching.

Serve well. Lead better. Leave something that lasts.

Leadership is not just about leading, but about listening and serving with a genuine heart.

In every task I fulfilled as a Secretary, I learned the value of responsibility, organization, and giving voice to others.
Service taught me that even the smallest efforts can create meaningful impact when done with sincerity.
Every challenge I faced became a lesson that strengthened my character and dedication.
Let this journey be a reminder to always lead with integrity, passion, and purpose.
As I end my journey as an SSLG Officer, I carry with me the lessons, memories, and experiences that shaped me not only as a student leader but as a person.

To the next generation of leaders, lead bravely, listen sincerely, and serve selflessly—because true leadership leaves a mark not in titles, but in people.

MESSAGE || SANTIA, EUGENE D.

Being part of SSLG or an organization has changed my personality and perspective in many ways. It helped me become more confident and open to new experiences. Although becoming one of the officers was unexpected, I truly enjoyed the responsibility and the opportunity that came with it. Through this experience, I was able to grow, develop my leadership skills, and discover strengths I did not know I had. I outshined who I used to be, and I learned to step beyond my limits. Leaving my comfort zone allowed me to socialize more with my peers, build stronger connections, and express myself more freely. These experiences gradually increased my confidence and helped me see things from a broader perspective. Being part of the organization also taught me the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and taking initiative in different situations.

MESSAGE || JANOLO, ALEXANDRA L.

As a Business Manager, always remember that leadership is about believing in yourself and inspiring others. As long as there are people who believe in you, keep going and continue what you started. People may judge you, and not everyone will understand your journey. But as long as you know in your heart that you are doing what is right, there is nothing to feel guilty about. Stay true to your purpose and values. At the end of the day, in the eyes of others, you may already be an amazing person, someone dedicated and committed to doing your job well. Let that be your strength.

MESSAGE || TIPONES, HANNAH SOFIA F.

I am certain of one thing: leadership means nothing if your heart is absent. There were moments when the role demanded more than what was comfortable, when expectations were high, and when the effort seemed unnoticed—but those were the moments that defined our growth the most. It’s not about how much you’ve done, but about the times when showing up is harder than it seems, yet we still choose to show up.

I sincerely thank everyone who did their best, showed up despite every struggle, fulfilled their roles, and kept their promises—even if things weren’t perfect. A promise is still a promise, no matter how difficult it is to fulfill. Thank you, Sir Arc, for pushing me to do better and for helping me clear my doubts even before I began this meaningful journey. “You’re capable, kaya mo.” — Sir Arc

As I close this chapter of my senior high school journey, I want all future student leaders to remember that leadership is not measured by how loud your voice is, but by how well you uphold responsibility, even in silence. Do your best, stay consistent despite any obstacles, and enjoy every moment to the fullest.

And as your P.O, Hannah Sofia Tipones is now signing off! 🌸🎀

‎MESSAGE || VILA, AYESA

‎You don't have to force yourself into something that you know you aren't ready for—mentally, emotionally, and physically.

‎Everyone, being a leader isn't just a choice. It has to come with dedication, courage, responsibility, accountability, understanding, and purpose. What leaders mostly sacrifice is their time. Everything is compressed. Everything can be exhausting from loads of tasks that need to be accomplished. Once you lack dedication and courage to serve, once you trust your gut that you "feel" you can lead, everything may fall under some circumstances. Everything is affected. Nothing's wrong with believing you can; the point is you have to be decided and certain.

‎So, aspirants, problems and challenges are unpredictable. You don't have to be scared; you just have to make SURE that you are READY to conquer everything that you'll experience throughout your journey.

‎MESSAGE || DULLA, THELIEL S.

‎Being your PIO in English meant more than just tackling tough challenges or managing pressure. It was an opportunity to stand by you, listen to what truly matters, and collaborate to help enhance our school community. Every conversation, every small victory, and even the hurdles we overcame were worthwhile because we faced them together as a united collective; as Isidoreans.

‎As I step back from this role, I want to remind you all that our work doesn't end here. Each of you has the power to create change: speak up, lend a hand, and take the lead in what matters to you and the wider community.

‎A concise message it may seem, but I assure you that I absolutely have no regrets whatsoever. It has truly been my honor to serve you, Isidoreans, and I am grateful for such an opportunity. This experience will always remain a cherished memory for me.

‎Thank you!

MESSAGE || ALISTRE, JOLIANNE D.

I wouldn’t deny the fact that I doubted myself at first for being a Grade 12 HUMSS representative— wondering if I could handle it or I would fail, but my fellow Isidorians trusted me and gave me the chance to serve for them. Through this opportunity, I realized that leadership is not just about standing in front or assigning tasks, it’s about being there for others, listening to their concerns, and supporting them. Each moment taught me a lesson, shows me how valuable it is to help others and to be someone they can trust and rely on.

With this journey, I built strong friendships, bonds I never expected but now deeply cherish — friends that I know I can lean on through challenges and success. These friendships helped me grow into a better and more understanding person. Now I will take this chance to say thank you to my friends within this organization and to my fellow Isidorians for the unforgettable moments we’ve shared in our school, and especially for trusting me to serve as your Grade 12 HUMSS representative—this is a journey I will forever remember.

MESSAGE || CRUZ, CYRILL JANE

When someone asks you to join an organization, don’t hesitate to take the opportunity—you’ll never know how memorable the journey can be.

‎Who would have thought that a student who never liked joining school organizations would suddenly become part of one?
‎Who would have thought that a student who once chose to stay in the corner would find the courage to become the voice of her fellow students?
‎And who would have thought that a student with low self-esteem would finally stand—not only for herself, but for others, especially for her fellow IP students?

‎I am Cyrill Jane Cruz, and it has been an honor to serve as your Grade 12 IP Representative. Throughout this journey, nothing has ever been easy. It truly felt like a roller coaster—sometimes scary, sometimes enjoyable, but most of the time, stressful. Others may think that being part of this organization is easy, but only those who experienced it know how challenging it has been since day one.

‎I still remember the trembling of my hands and the nervousness I felt during the screening. I never thought I would pass—but thankfully, I did. As the school year began, the busy days followed, and we, as officers, worked tirelessly like ants. We gave our best, even though we knew we were not perfect. There were shortcomings and areas we needed to improve. And of course, not everyone will appreciate what you do. Just like what our president once said, “May gawin o wala, may masasabi at masasabi sila.” That line stayed with me. So we continued fulfilling our duties, focusing on our purpose rather than the noise around us.

‎Now, I can proudly say that I became part of this organization—that, even for a short time, I was given the chance to serve you. For once, I was able to lead and create plans not just for myself, but for my fellow IP students. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our IP Coordinator, Ma’am Nofre, for guiding me throughout this journey; to my fellow IP officers for their help; and to my co-officers who became my constant support during our busiest days. And lastly, to my friend Jolianne—thank you for encouraging (and even forcing) me to join this unforgettable journey.

‎Once again, I am Cyrill Jane Cruz, proudly signing off as your Grade 12 IP Representative.
