From November 25 to December 12, 2025, we stand in solidarity with the call for a VAW-free Philippines. Let us STOP VAW, LOOK beyond silence, and LISTEN with compassion as we work together to create safer spaces for all women and girls.

This year’s recurring theme, “UNITED for a VAW-Free Philippines,” urges everyone to take part in raising awareness, promoting respect, and fostering a culture free from violence.

🌀 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Today, our school actively participated in the 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, reinforcing our commitment to disaster preparedness and safety awareness.

Through the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” drill, our learners, teachers, and staff were reminded of the importance of staying calm, alert, and ready in times of emergency.

📢 Burgos Elementary School joins the celebration of Global Handwashing Day 2025! 💧

In light of the recent increase in Influenza-Like Illnesses (ILI) cases, Burgos Elementary School will implement Modular Distance Learning (MDL) from October 14–17, 2025.

Despite the temporary shift to home-based learning, we remain committed to promoting health, safety, and wellness among our learners and their families.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 As part of our observance of Global Handwashing Day, pupils are encouraged to:
✅ Practice proper handwashing with their family members
✅ Share hygiene and sanitation tips at home
✅ Submit a photo collage of their activity to their class adviser.

Let us continue to work together in building a cleaner and healthier school community, one that values proper hygiene and the well-being of all. 💙
