Some children learn to smile before they learn how to speak about their pain. Some stay quiet not because they have nothing to say, but because they do not know how to explain what they are feeling. Behind changes in behavior, loss of interest, sudden anger, or withdrawal, there may be emotions that feel too big for a child to carry alone.

𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙨𝙖𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙤. Their feelings are real and valid.
