Fish vendor Mercedez Dela Cruz, 55, resident of bonafide Dumanisi, Diffun, Quirino, has been working every Monday to Saturday for almost 2 years at Diffun Public Market to survive living as a single woman with an adopted preschool son, Apr. 25, 2024. According to Dela Cruz, she managed to extend more patience, determination, and hard work with the motivation of being a recipient of TUlong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) for almost a year. According to the Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-Quirino, around 1,699 kailyans were TUPAD beneficiaries as of 2023 and the PLGU is committed to sustaining its programs for the community.
