In a proactive effort to enhance school safety and streamline emergency response, the Jomalig Municipal Police Station (MPS) under the leadership of PCPT Tristan Jay O. Manuel, conducted an orientation session for teachers at Jomalig National High School today, September 21, 2026.
The police officers introduced and trained some educators on the operational use of the SOS Alert application—a specialized mobile application designed to send real-time distress signals directly to local law enforcement and first responders during critical situations or emergencies on campus.
During the session, officers demonstrated the step-by-step setup of the application, including setting up quick-activation hotkeys, enabling location sharing, and triggering immediate notifications. The activity focused on equipping faculty members with the tools needed to rapidly report incidents such as intruder threats, medical emergencies, or disasters, ensuring swift intervention by local police and municipal response units.
The faculty members expressed their deeper appreciation to the PNP for the initiative, noting that the technology-driven security measure adds an essential layer of safety for both faculty and students across the campus.
The orientation forms part of the ongoing community-oriented policing strategy of the Philippine National Police to foster safer learning environments across the municipality.

𝚂𝙲𝙷𝙾𝙾𝙻-𝙲𝙾𝙼𝙼𝚄𝙽𝙸𝚃𝚈 𝚄𝙽𝙸𝚃𝙴𝚂: 𝙹𝚘𝚖𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚐 𝙽𝙷𝚂 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝙸𝚂𝙻𝙰𝙽𝙳-𝚆𝙸𝙳𝙴 𝙲𝙾𝙰𝚂𝚃𝙰𝙻 𝙲𝙻𝙴𝙰𝙽-𝚄𝙿

Students and faculty members of Jomalig National High School took to the island’s shores early Saturday morning to participate in the International Coastal Cleanup drive to show unified stand for marine preservation. The environmental effort, held on September 19, targeted a coastal stretch stretching from Jomalig Lighthouse to the main Landing Port.
Equipped with trash bags, sacks, shovels, and rakes, the volunteers gathered at dawn to sweep the coastline. Together, they removed plastic waste, discarded fishing gear and household debris washed ashore along the coastline.
The initiative aligns with the International Coastal Cleanup movement observed to address marine debris and safeguard marine ecosystems.
After a long walk of picking up trash, the participants had collected and sorted several sacks of waste, recording data on the types of trash gathered to help inform future waste management and reduction efforts in the municipality. The collected wastes were transported to local waste disposal facilities for proper processing and recycling.
School administrators expressed gratitude to all the student leaders, and teachers who made the cleanup a success, emphasizing that environmental stewardship remains a core priority for the school.
Today's visible transformation along the coast stands as a testament to what a united community can achieve—a cleaner shore today and a healthier marine ecosystem for future generations.

JOMALIG, QUEZON — Jomalig National High School (JNHS) successfully held its First Term General Parents-Teachers Association (GPTA) Meeting for the school year on Friday, September 18, 2026.
The program commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of Lupang Hinirang and a roll call, welcome remarks from Principal I Ruben B. Lladone Jr., and the presentation of the agenda by SHS Coordinator Losilen Ortiz.
During the main discussion, Mrs. Jhie Ann Manlogon presented enrollment updates alongside key challenges, such as early pregnancy and lack of parental guidance. Meanwhile, JHS Coordinator Lorelie Bartolome introduced the newly appointed personnel: Ms. Ezra Manlogon (Administrative Officer I), Ms. Cindy Buefano (Values Education Teacher), and Mr. Rommel A. Alita (School Counselor Associate I).
Sir Darry Flores-Head teacher 1 emphasized DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026, which focuses on maintaining a safe and anti-bullying learning environment. On the other hand, Mr. Ruben Lladone Jr. discussed measures against dengue, the Coastal Clean-Up drive, the ARAL Program, updates regarding the Induction Ball, and the proposed demolition of the old stage facility.
The general assembly concluded with an Open Forum, which was immediately followed by the Homeroom Meeting for consultation between parents and classroom advisers, as well as the distribution of the students' report card for first-term grades.

Maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani! 🇵🇭

Ngayong araw, nagbibigay-pugay ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon sa lahat ng bayaning Pilipino mula sa mga nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa ating kalayaan hanggang sa mga patuloy na naglilingkod nang buong puso para sa bansa.

Kasabay ng pagdiriwang, kinikilala rin natin ang magigiting na bayani ng iba’t ibang sektor, kabilang ang ating mga g**o at kawani na katuwang natin sa pagsig**o ng maayos na kalidad ng edukasyon para sa mga Pilipinong mag-aaral.

This generous contribution significantly boosts our campus safety and security, ensuring a safer learning environment for all our students, teachers, and staff.
Through the continuous monitoring of key campus areas, these cameras help prevent incidents and maintain peace across school grounds, significantly enhancing overall campus safety. Sa pangunguna at gabay ni G. Ruben B. Lladone Jr., Punongg**o I, at sa sama-samang dedikasyon at pagtutulungan ng mga g**o, sa pangunguna ng TLE Department, aktibong nakiisa ang Jomalig National High School sa pagdiriwang ng Jomalig Nutrition Month 2026, na may temang "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!"

Sa nasabing pagdiriwang, nagkamit ang JNHS ng iba't ibang parangal matapos makipagtagisan ng husay sa mga kalahok mula sa iba't ibang barangay at paaralan sa bayan ng Jomalig.

Tinanghal na Grand Winner ang Jomalig National High School sa Zumba Dance Contest matapos ang isang kahanga-hanga at masiglang pagtatanghal na nagpamalas ng husay, koordinasyon, at sigla ng mga kalahok.

Bukod dito, nasungkit din ng JNHS ang titulong Grand Winner sa Creative Costume Competition matapos maipakita ang isang natatangi at malikhaing konsepto na naging epektibong representasyon ng tema ng pagdiriwang.

Hindi rin nagpahuli ang JNHS sa Malunggay and Fruit-bearing Tree Propagation Competition, kung saan nagkamit ito ng Second Runner-up at Best Effort Award, na sumasalamin sa patuloy nitong pakikiisa sa mga programang nagsusulong ng wastong nutrisyon at pangangalaga sa kalikasan.

Ang mga tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang pagsisikap ng mga mag-aaral, mga magulang, mga g**o, at mga tagapayo na buong pusong naglaan ng oras, talento, at dedikasyon sa paghahanda para sa iba't ibang patimpalak ng pagdiriwang na ito.
