On July 20, 1969, during the historic Apollo 11 mission, a World Scout Badge was carried to the surface of the Moon by astronaut Neil A. Armstrong, a fellow Scout. This certificate, signed by Armstrong himself, commemorates the remarkable journey of Scouting’s emblem beyond Earth.

A powerful reminder that the values of Scouting—leadership, service, and adventure—know no boundaries. From local communities to the Moon, Scouts continue to inspire generations to dream big and reach for the stars.

A beautiful morning today of July 20, 2026 as the Boy Scouts of outfit 502 Quezon Council successfuly conducted a cheerful and lively flag ceremony on our local school together with every active scouts and scout leaders of Tagkawayan National High School.

🟢⚜️ 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗨𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗢 𝗔𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗟𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗞𝗢𝗗, 𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗞𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗡 ⚜️🟢

Sa Boy Scouts of the Philippines, ang pagiging 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagsusuot ng isang badge o paghawak ng isang posisyon. Ito ay pagtanggap sa isang tungkuling puno ng pananagutan, dedikasyon, at tapat na paglilingkod.

Kung sakaling pagkatiwalaan akong gampanan ang tungkuling ito, sisikapin kong mamuno nang may kababaang-loob, integridad, at malasakit. Nais kong maging isang lider na hindi lamang nauuna sa pila, kundi nauuna rin sa paggawa ng tama, sa pagtulong sa kapwa, at sa pagsasabuhay ng Scout Oath at Scout Law.

Naniniwala akong ang isang mahusay na lider ay hindi naghahanap ng papuri, kundi ng pagkakataong makapaglingkod. Hindi siya namumuno upang sundin, kundi upang magbigay ng inspirasyon at maging mabuting halimbawa sa bawat Scout.

Bilang bahagi ng Tagkawayan NHS - BSP Outfit 502, hangad kong makatulong sa pagbuo ng isang samahang nagkakaisa, disiplinado, may malasakit sa kapwa, at handang harapin ang anumang hamon nang may tapang at pananagutan.

Anuman ang maging resulta, mananatili ang aking pangako na maging "Laging Handa" sa paglilingkod sa ating Outfit, sa ating paaralan, at sa ating komunidad.

The lessons shared by a Scout Leader are more than instructions for today's activity. They are values that shape how we treat others, make decisions, and face life's challenges.
A Scout is obedient because they understand that every reminder carries a purpose. They don't simply follow directions. They learn from them, live by them, and pass them on.
Because one day, the Scout who listens will become the Scout someone else looks up to.

Every Scout has stood where this young Scout stands.

Today, the senior scouts of Outfit 502 together with our Senior Crew Leader ES. BACUÑO and other officers of Tagkawayan National High School Boy Scout of the Philippines, Outfit 502 conducted a successful review about the importances of skills in bandaging, scouts shared their knowledge with everyone with respect, unity, and coordination with everyone present.
