On our dirtbikes, my priest friend and I braved the rugged mountain ranges of Nueva Vizcaya and Benguet through mud, steep paths, and the quiet danger of the unknown just to reach Mt. Ugo for a simple community visit. Every engine rev was a prayer, every rocky path a test of faith, and every kilometer a reminder that service is not always comfortable… but always meaningful.

We didn’t ride for adventure.
We rode for purpose.
For the smiles waiting at the summit.
For the stories unheard in the mountains.
For the people who remind us why compassion must travel, no matter how far or how hard the road gets.

Some journeys exhaust the body,

Together with my priest friend, we trailed the rugged mountains of Nueva Vizcaya not for recognition, not for applause but for the smiles of children in an isolated community who simply deserve a chance to learn.

Sometimes, service is not comfortable. Sometimes, it’s exhausting. But it is always meaningful.
