UNHS SCHOOL-BASED SCIENCE CAMP
Our 2-day, 1-night Science Camp, themed CLIMAQUEST: Forecasting Wind Shifts, Charting Climate Futures, was a whirlwind of discovery, creativity, and climate action!
Day 1 ignited the students’ curiosity with a thrilling Sci-History Quiz and Sci-Spelling contest. Creativity took center stage as participants showcased their talents in Poster, Slogan, and Collage Making, all centered on the theme of climate change. The Photo Treebute connected students with nature, while the reflective Sad and Glad activity brought out the heart of the camp. As the night fell, energy soared during the Dancing Molecules social, where students danced the night away, followed by the show-stopping on-the-spot pageant that wowed everyone.
Day 2 kicked off with high-energy Zumba, setting the tone for a day of climate action. The Symposium brought thought leaders to share insights on how students can shape the future of sustainability. A key highlight was the Oath Taking of the YES-O Officers, where our young environmental leaders pledged to steer climate initiatives in the school. The camp wrapped up with thrilling team-building activities, forging stronger bonds and a shared vision for a better planet.
