A new chapter in our Francophone journey! 🇰🇭

French has always been about more than learning a language. It is about discovering cultures, building friendships, and creating connections across borders.

On 26 August 2026, UP Le Club Français had the honor of stepping beyond the classroom and into a meaningful cultural exchange with the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in the Philippines. Annually, the Club has aimed to establish connections across Francophone countries in order to expand our views and discover various cultures. Our visit has opened our minds into Cambodia’s rich history and culture, while also allowing us to discover the country’s unique place within the Francophone world while simultaneously co-existing as a South East Asian neighbor. Through conversations, stories, and, of course, a taste of Khmer cuisine, we were reminded of how language can bring people and communities together.

We are deeply grateful to H.E. Mr. Sin Saream, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Mr. Vun Phanith, First Secretary, for warmly welcoming our delegation and sharing their knowledge with us.

From the Philippines to Cambodia, and through the shared language of French, a new connection begins. 🇵🇭🤝🇰🇭

Vive la Francophonie! 💙
