LOOK | MEDICAL SERVICE SCHOOL PARTICIPATES IN THE 2ND QUARTER CY 2026 NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

In support of the national government's disaster preparedness and risk reduction initiatives, the Medical Service School (MSS), Medical Center Armed Forces of the Philippines, actively participated in the 2nd Quarter CY 2026 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on 18 June 2026.

Personnel, faculty, staff, and students of MSS demonstrated their commitment to safety and emergency preparedness by carrying out the prescribed earthquake response procedures, including the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol and orderly evacuation to designated assembly areas.

The activity aimed to enhance awareness, readiness, and responsiveness in the event of an actual earthquake, ensuring that all personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect lives and maintain operational effectiveness during emergencies.

Through regular participation in disaster preparedness exercises, the Medical Service School continues to foster a culture of safety, resilience, and vigilance among its personnel while supporting the Armed Forces of the Philippines' commitment to safeguarding its workforce and the communities it serves.

LOOK | OPENING CEREMONY OF MEDICAL TECHNICIAN SPECIALTY TRAINING COURSE (MTSTC) CLASS 18-26

The Medical Service School , Medical Center Armed Forces of the Philippines, successfully conducted the Opening Ceremony of the Medical Technician Specialty Training Course (MTSTC) Class 18-26 on 17 June 2026 at the COL Olympia Building, Camp Colonel Victoriano K. Luna, V. Luna Avenue, Quezon City.

The ceremony was graced by COL JOSEPH ALAIN U IBUNA MAC (MNSA), Commandant, Medical Service School, who formally welcomed the students and delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the vital role of medical technicians in supporting the Armed Forces of the Philippines' healthcare mission and operational readiness.

Fifteen (15) enlisted personnel from various medical service units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines officially commenced their specialized training, marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to enhancing their professional competence, technical expertise, and commitment to military healthcare service.

The MTSTC aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to perform their duties effectively and uphold the highest standards of military medical care in support of AFP personnel and their dependents.

The Medical Service School remains steadfast in its mission to develop highly competent, disciplined, and mission-ready medical professionals who embody excellence in service to the nation.

MEDICAL SERVICE SCHOOL SPORTS FESTIVAL 2026:

“One HEALERS Team, One Spirit, One Victory”

The Medical Service School (MSS) successfully conducted its Sports Festival 2026 on 10–11 June 2026, bringing together all students in a vibrant celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and esprit de corps.

The two-day event was graced by COL JOSEPH ALAIN U IBUNA MAC (MNSA), Commandant, Medical Service School, Medical Center, AFP whose presence inspired participants to embody the values of discipline, excellence, and camaraderie both on and off the field.

The Sports Festival served as an avenue for students to demonstrate not only their physical fitness and competitive spirit but also the importance of unity, cooperation, and mutual respect. Various sporting events and team competitions showcased the talents, determination, and resilience of the participants, fostering stronger bonds among future military medical professionals.

Throughout the festival, students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of activities, displaying remarkable sportsmanship and dedication. The event reinforced the Medical Service School’s commitment to holistic development by promoting physical wellness, leadership, teamwork, and morale among its students.

CLOSING CEREMONY OF ADVANCE DENTAL TECHNICIAN COURSE (ADTC) CL 20-25

The Medical Service School, Medical Center, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), under the supervision of the Joint Specialization School, Education, Training Command, AFP, successfully conducted the Closing Ceremony of the Advance Dental Technician Course (ADTC) Class 20-25 composed of 29 Enlisted Personnel coming from the different Major Services of the AFP on 29 May 2026.

The ceremony was graced by COL EISEN M PERDIDO DS (GSC), Chief, Dental Center, AFP, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his address, he commended the graduates for their commitment, perseverance, and dedication throughout the rigorous 26-week training program. He likewise emphasized the vital role of Dental Technicians in supporting the AFP's mission by providing quality dental laboratory services that contribute to the overall health and readiness of military personnel.

The Advance Dental Technician Course, equivalent to the mandatory advance career course for enlisted personnel, is designed to enhance both the military and technical competencies of its students. The course is divided into two major phases: the Military Phase and the Technical/Applicatory Phase.

The Military Phase provides students with essential knowledge and practical experience in military leadership, management, operations, and staff functions, ensuring that each graduate is equipped with the necessary skills to effectively perform leadership and management responsibilities within the organization.

The Technical/Applicatory Phase focuses on developing and enhancing students' competencies in clinical laboratory procedures and Prosthodontics, enabling them to meet the increasing demand for quality dental prosthetic appliances within the AFP. The course culminates with comprehensive written, oral, and practical examinations to assess the students' proficiency, expertise, and mastery of their newly acquired knowledge and skills in the field of Dental Technology.

In addition, the non-academic component of the course emphasized physical fitness, individual proficiency, educational tours, and character development activities that promoted the students' overall well-being while evaluating their conduct, aptitude, and military bearing throughout the training period.

The successful completion of the 26-week course signifies another milestone in the professional development of AFP enlisted personnel, producing highly skilled and competent Dental Technicians who are prepared to provide quality service and support to the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
