Strengthening partnerships and advancing military medical excellence 🇵🇭🤝🇯🇵
On 29 April 2026, the Medical Service School, Medical Center, Armed Forces of the Philippines (MCAFP), had the honor of hosting the delegation from the Health and Medical Division, Bureau of Personnel and Education, Ministry of Defense of Japan, led by MATSUOKA Terumasa, MD, MSc. (HSPHR), Director. The visiting delegation was warmly received and assisted by BGEN ERICKSON L GOB MC, Commander, Medical Center Armed Forces of the Philippines, COL FLORENCIO RITCHIE I CAPULONG III MAC (GSC), Deputy Commander for Administration, MCAFP; COL JOSE ROSEL R REDUBLE MC (MNSA), Deputy Commander for Clinical; and COL JOSEPH ALAIN U IBUNA MAC (MNSA), Commandant, Medical Service School. The activity featured a comprehensive unit briefing and presentation on Capability Development Potential Areas delivered by MAJ PHIL ADRIAN S CARRERA NC, S3, MSS. The engagement served as a valuable platform for exchanging best practices, enhancing cooperation, and exploring future opportunities for collaboration in military medical services. This meaningful visit underscores the continued commitment of both nations to strengthen defense relations and improve healthcare support capabilities for military personnel.

On 28 April 2026, the Medical Service School, Medical Center, Armed Forces of the Philippines (MCAFP), was honored to be part of the visit of CSC Jennifer A. Francis, US Army, following the US-PH SNCO Forum in connection with Exercise Balikatan 41-26.
As part of the official tour of facilities, CSM Francis included the Medical Service School, highlighting its vital role in developing competent and mission-ready military medical personnel.
The Senior Non-Commissioned Officers, together with SMS Wilfredo S. Morales (Inf) PA, Command Sergeant Major, MCAFP, conducted a bilateral engagement at the VKL Auditorium, MC, AFP. Discussions focused on best practices, interoperability, and enhancing troop awareness—key elements in strengthening allied cooperation.
During the tour at the Medical Service School, the delegates were assisted by MSg Ricky R Ganancial (FS) PA, Sergeant Major, MSS, MCAFP, and TSg Edwin Aldrin B Detera (Inf) PA, Operations NCO, MSS, ensuring a comprehensive and informative visit.
This engagement reflects the enduring partnership between the Philippines and the United States in advancing military professionalism and operational readiness.
