The Gender and Development (GAD) Club of Ismael Mathay Sr. High School (IMSHS) proudly introduce the IMSHS Men Opposed to Violence Against Women Everywhere (MOVE) for Youth Representatives, 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐨 and 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚.

As youth advocates, they stand firm in raising awareness, promoting respect, equality, and shared responsibility in ending Violence Against Women. As MOVERS, they are making a positive impact as they embody the role of young men as allies for gender justice and social change.

In line with the Division Memorandum No. 1507, s. 2025, 𝙈𝙚𝙣 𝙊𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙑𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 (MOVE) Activities, 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (GAD) Club of 𝙄𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙚𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙧. 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 (IMSHS) proudly participated in the seminar titled 𝙈𝙊𝙑𝙀 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝: 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙀𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝘽𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨.

The seminar, which commenced immediately after the MOVE for Youth oath-taking at 8am, gathered the three MOVE Focal Persons from the identified participating schools. Representing IMSHS are 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐀. 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞 (GAD Club Adviser), 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢ñ𝐨 (GAD Club President), and 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 (GAD Club Member).

This Mental Health seminar forms as one of the priorities of MOVE initiatives of the Quezon City Gender and Development Council.

On the 9th day of December 2025, newly inducted MOVE for Youth leaders took their oath at Quezon City Hall. Surrounded by fellow youth advocates and public servants. Among them are 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙆𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙞ñ𝙤 (GAD President) and 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 (GAD Member) who proudly steps up as two of the committed leaders ready to serve and inspire.

As they embark on this new journey, they carry the torch of purpose for a force for good—it's a plede to actively work and lead towards equality and empowerment.

We feel excited to MOVE forward with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.

As part of the celebration of Filipino Values Month, the Values Education Department and Values Club hosted a fun-filled "Paskuhan sa ISMA" today, December 10, 2025, (Wednesday).

This event was a vibrant showcase of skills, activities and fun, embodying the spirit of Christmas—love and unity. 🎄🎅

✨ A Successful Peer Facilitator Training 2025

The Peer Facilitator Training held on December 02, 2025, at the AVR was a resounding success. Led by our hosts Lee-laine Go and Loraine Jane Fernandez, the program opened with an inspiring message from Dr. Ferdinand A. Fontillo.

The highlight of the event was the impactful talk delivered by Ma’am Gladys A. Balando, whose insights equipped students with skills in empathy, leadership, and effective peer support. A vibrant performance from Grade 10 – Balagtas added energy to the program.

The event concluded with the empowering Closing Remarks of John Kerwin Capariño, G.A.D. Club President, and a heartfelt Closing Prayer led by Kirsten Jewel Capuno, G.A.D. Club Vice President.

A truly meaningful and successful training for our future peer facilitators—motivated, prepared, and ready to make a difference. 🌟

Every year on November 25, the world observes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This day is a reminder that gender-based violence still exists around the globe.

The world calls on everyone to take a step beyond reflection and into meaningful intervention. It is a call to strengthen community support systems, ensure accessible reporting and break down barriers.

Ending Violence Against Women is not optional, it is everyone’s responsibility. Let’s take action to support this responsibility: advocating for justice where every woman and girl can live free from fear. Together, we can build awareness and make change as a step closer to a world without violence.

The Gender and Development (GAD) Club of Ismael Mathay Sr. High School is proud of Project KaLiMBaHiN, an initiative focused on promoting awareness, nurturing a progressive mindset, and promoting development among students and readers. This project aims to strengthen character, deepen understanding about gender related advocacy, and encourage everyone to have active participation in building a diverse and inclusive society.

Through Project Kalimbahin, GAD Club envisions an empowered and conscious environment where inclusiveness is practiced, values are lived, and every person in the community is inspired to act with purpose.
