The Earth overshoots today.
In just seven months, we have depleted all the natural resources the planet can regenerate in a year. What should last 12 months is gone, leaving us in ecological debt.
From this day forward, we are operating in an ecological deficit, using more resources than the Earth can regenerate within the year. Forests shrink, oceans strain, and ecosystems are pushed beyond their limits. This is not just a date, it is a warning that our current path is unsustainable.
We cannot afford to keep living beyond the planetโs means. The time to act is now. Delay overshoot. Restore balance. Protect our only home.

More than 8 billion people share our planet today. More than just a statistic, this number represents a powerful collective force.
Imagine the impact if each person takes just one simple, sustainable step:
โ Reducing waste
โ Conserving energy
โ Supporting nature
โ Making climate-conscious choices
Multiplied by billions, these everyday actions can drive real progress in addressing the climate crisis.
This World Population Day, themed โRealizing the hopes and aspirations of young peopleโtoday and for the future,โ reminds us that humankind, especially the youth, has the power to shape a more sustainable, resilient world. The question is not how many we are, but what we choose to do together.

LGBT psychology underscores the importance of safe, affirming environments for mental health. We contend that establishing these spaces is a component of environmental justice and contributes to broader goals of planetary health.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Marc Sherwin A. Ochoco, RPsy, for sharing his expertise and passion for open science, and to everyone who joined us for this engaging discussion.
It was inspiring to explore how more transparent and accessible research can help shape the future of science and create greater impact for communities. We are excited to see how these ideas continue to influence research and collaboration in the years ahead.
Thank you for learning with us!
