God has always led KKSJ to be a catalyst for children to come to a personal saving faith in Jesus Christ, and one of the ways we have been serving Him is through the ministry of Daily Vacation Bible School or DVBS. It started in the 1990s in our church and was later revived in 2005, calling it Summer Bible Class with the theme "Amazing Amazon". It was very well attended by almost a hundred childre
n in Brgy. Salapan, which then gave birth to a follow up ministry for them called Saturday Bible Class. Jan Bayhon, who was then taking up Education in UST was instrumental in leading both of the ministries, especially in the early years of SBC. Alongside other children's ministries of KKSJ, DVBS anchors on the mandate given by Jesus Christ to "let the children come to Him for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matt 19:14) And since then, DVBS has been on its mission to reach out to the children in our community to become true followers of the Living God, continuing the work of our dear brother Cyril Brooks in this area almost a hundred years ago.
