This is how the cycle goes. You don't rest because there's work that needs to be done, and it's never done because you're tired. Doon mo mararamdaman na parang hindi sapat ginagawa mo.

Constantly pushing your productivity doesnโ€™t just take your time, it takes your energy, your focus, and sometimes even your sense of self. And somehow, we still call it discipline.

No one explicitly teaches us that rest is laziness. But we learn it anyway.

From being praised for being โ€œbusy.โ€
From feeling guilty when weโ€™re not.
From systems that reward constant output.

So it starts to feel normal, like our worth depends on how much we do. But maybe this belief was never ours to begin with.

We normalized exhaustion. We turned burnout into a personality trait. We joke about being โ€œacademic weaponsโ€ while running on 4 hours of sleep.

However, the data show this is not an individual weakness. Itโ€™s a pattern. And patterns come from systems.
