Yuko, a film-documentary by NISMED TV, won the “Best Screenplay Award” in the Talkback and Awarding Ceremony of the 9th Indie-Siyensya Filmmaking Competition held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on December 3, 2025.

This film is the official entry of the University of the Philippines National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development (UP NISMED) to Indie-Siyensya.

This year’s event, organized by the Department of Science and Technology Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), carried the theme "Halik sa Lupa", celebrating science-themed films that make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging to the Filipino public.

FILM VIEWING REMINDERS:

1. Attendance will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Filling out the form does NOT guarantee a slot.

2. Limited slots only. There will be a line from the Vidal Tan Hall AVR to UP NISMED hallway.

3. After the screening, attendees will vote for the best film.

4. Snacks will be served, and tokens will be given after the event.
