The Official Community Arm of the TUA-College of Medical Technology Handwashing (Hugas Kamay Project)
2. Dengue and Zika Prevention (Tepok Lamok Project)
3.
Founded in 1990, Project HEALS (Health, Education, and Life Services), the community arm of the College of Medical Technology (CMT), faithfully shares its mission of promoting quality life to all the university's community partners. Its diverse activities, which started from handwashing crossing the wellness-check, voluntary blood donation drive, environment-safe campaign up to book and toy librar
y, reflect its sincere commitment to assisting the Filipino people and the country. The whole studentry, faculty, staff, and alumni of CMT are united in helping the extended families of the university by providing free diagnostic laboratory tests and medical consultations, lectures on emerging and re-emerging diseases, and strengthening the awareness on the benefits of blood donation and waste segregation. The beneficiaries of Project HEALS are not only confined in the areas adjacent to the school but also outside the borders of the metropolis, like the indigenous community in the nearby provincial cities. Ceaselessly, Project HEALS will uphold the Trinitian spirit of being "a person for others," inculcating the values of volunteerism and sharing to all CMT constituents, fundamentally emphasizing that as Medical Technologists and health care professionals, our oath to God is to serve the people with compassion and selfless dedication. Through the establishment of a Memorandum of Agreement between the University and the partner communities, the Trinitian Community Development Section (TCDS) which serves as the umbrella unit monitoring the implementation of the various extension services of the University through the respective project holders/colleges, foster a relationship with the following barangays:
• Barangay Damayang Lagi, Quezon City
• Barangay Industrial Valley Complex (IVC), Marikina City
• Barangay Kalusugan, Quezon City
• Barangay Roxas, Quezon City
• Barangay San Rafael, Rodriguez-Rizal
• Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City
• Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City
Specifically, the extension services rendered by Project HEALS are as follows:
Health Education Services
1. I-Recycle (Plastic ni Juan Project)
Life Services
1. Voluntary Blood Donation (Dugtong Buhay Project)
2. Deworming (Kontra Bulate Project)
3. Maternal Health (Bantay-Buntis Project)
4. School-Children Health (Anemia-Check Project)
5. Kidney-Check (Bantay Bato Project)
6. Gluco-Check (Iwas Diyabetes Project)
7. Community Book and Toy Library (Takdang Aralin Project)
8. CMT Medical Mission (Lingkod Bayan Project)
The TCDS encourages the project holders/colleges to generate related activities, notwithstanding the interdisciplinary engagement between and among colleges with similar advocacies. For instance, the shared commitment of the CMT-Project HEALS and the St. Luke's College of Nursing-Project CHANGE in health and wellness services are highly recognized by the adopted barangays and its leaders. The interdisciplinary approach creates an excellent venue for collaboration and service-learning for students and faculty members, building stronger relationships both for the beneficiaries and the partner colleges. Further, the interdisciplinary activities of the project holders/colleges support the principle that total human development is only achieved through the self-empowerment of people. Hence, in its quest for excellence in extension services, the university ensures that all activities are alive, nurtured, and sustained to alleviate the quality of life.

Knowledge is protection. Join us in spreading awareness about tuberculosis (TB)—what causes it, how it spreads, its symptoms, and most importantly, how it can be prevented and treated.
In partnership with our community stakeholders, we aim to empower individuals through education and awareness, paving the way for a healthier and more informed future. Because when we understand TB, we can help stop its spread. 🛑
