The search for the Most Outstanding Student (MOS) 2026 of MSU-Zamboanga Sibugay reached an exciting milestone earlier today as the official interview phase was held at the MSU Function Hall.

Five exceptional candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences — Junaiza G. Ampuan, Ryann M. Ampuan, Cristy May C. Sebarios, and Raheya S. Almansa — and from the College of Nursing, David Kylle S. Pallon, stepped forward to face the panel and showcase their academic excellence, leadership, and character. Each candidate brought their own story of perseverance, purpose, and passion, making the selection process even more remarkable.

The university extends its warm congratulations to all the candidates for their courage, confidence, and outstanding performance during the interview. Deep appreciation is also given to the panel of evaluators for their time, expertise, and thoughtful assessment, as well as to the Graduation Ball Committee for their unwavering behind-the-scenes efforts in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

The official announcement of the Most Outstanding Student 2026 will be on July 7, 2026, during the much-anticipated Torch Parade.

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 (𝗨𝗦𝗟𝗔) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), together with the University Student Leadership Award (USLA) Screening Committee, successfully conducted the Phase I (Pre-Qualification), Phase II (Quantitative Evaluation), Phase III (Impact Assessment), and Phase IV (Interview) of the University Student Leadership Award (USLA) AY 2025–2026 on June 15-19, 2026 at Mindanao State University - Zamboanga Sibugay.

The activity aimed to thoroughly assess the nominee's qualifications, leadership achievements, contributions to the University, and impact on the student body in accordance with the established USLA Guidelines.

OSAS extends its sincere appreciation to the members of the USLA Screening Committee, chaired by Dr. Ivy F. Amante, for their commitment and dedication in ensuring a fair, transparent, and meaningful selection process. Likewise, we thank all respondents and stakeholders who participated in the impact assessment and evaluation.

Through this initiative, the University continues its commitment to recognizing student leaders who exemplify excellence, integrity, service, and transformative leadership in the MSU-Zamboanga Sibugay community.

Niyanig ng 7.8-magnitude na lindol ang Mindanao nitong Lunes, Hunyo 8, 2026. Maraming bahay at establisyemento ang nasira, maraming pamilya ang naapektuhan at nangangailangan ng agarang tulong. May mga kalsadang hindi madaanan at mga poste ng kuryente na natumba, dahilan upang maraming lugar ang manatiling walang suplay ng kuryente hanggang sa kasalukuyan.

Patuloy pa ring nararamdaman ang mga aftershock na nagdudulot ng pangamba at pag-aalala sa mga mamamayan. Sa kabila nito, may mga agarang tulong nang ipinapaabot mula sa mga karatig-bayan at sa iba't ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan.

𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 | 𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗦𝗨𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘

In response to the recent earthquake that affected numerous areas and communities across Mindanao, the Office of the Student Regent and the Federation of Mindanao State University Supreme Student Councils (FEMSUSSCO), in collaboration with Mindanao State University - General Santos, have launched the TULONG MSUONE Donation Drive. This initiative aims to provide assistance to affective families and communities impacted by the recent catastrophe.

The Supreme Student Council-Zamboanga Sibugay joins the humanitarian initiative and calls on MSU-ZS community and concerned citizens to extend help through monetary and in-kind donations. Every act of kindness and solidarity brings hope, help, and relief to those in need.

Together, let us embody the spirit of Iskolar ng Bayanihan with collective action and solidarity, and stand with our fellow Mindanawons during this difficult time.
