📣ANNOUNCEMENT: ARAL SUMMER PROGRAM 2026

In line with Republic Act No. 12028 (ARAL Program Act), Punta Central School, Punta, Dipolog City, is pleased to open the ARAL Summer Reading and Math Program. This initiative aims to support learners in becoming grade-level ready and more confident for the upcoming school year by addressing learning gaps and strengthening their Literacy and Numeracy skills.

🗓️ Program Schedule: May 6 – June 2, 2026
📚 Monday to Thursday – Face-to-face intervention classes focused on Reading and Math
⏱️ Duration: 2 hours for Reading and 2 hours for Math
🏠 Friday – Home-based learning activities to reinforce acquired skills
👦🏻👧🏻 Target Participants: Incoming Grades 2 to 6 for the next school year

Punta Central School proudly shares highlights from its 83rd Graduation Ceremony held on March 30, 2026. 🎓

This significant milestone celebrates the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of our learners as they successfully complete another chapter of their educational journey.

The ceremony was led by our School Principal, Mariavi M. Enao, with the presence and support of our Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Genevieve Barbadillo Miranda. Their leadership continues to inspire excellence and commitment within the school community.

Punta Central School stands proud as we join the nation in celebrating National Women’s Month!

At 3:00 PM, our school grounds became a space of honor and inspiration during our short program dedicated to the strength, wisdom, and leadership of women. With the powerful theme, "Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!", we celebrated the incredible "Juanas" who shape our community, from our dedicated teachers and supportive mothers to our aspiring young learners.

Just as the Babaylans of our history were healers, leaders, and keepers of wisdom, the women of Punta Central continue to lead with heart and courage in every classroom and every home.

Let’s continue to foster an environment where every girl is empowered to dream big and every woman is recognized for her vital role in nation-building.

We are beyond grateful to share that two of our PCS learners placed in their respective categories and have been blessed with the opportunity to move on to the Regional level.

Punta Central School (PCS) showed no signs of dimming as its official publication, The Lamp, outshone the competition to clinch a podium finish at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held last Jan. 26-28, 2026.

In a bright display of excellence, The Lamp (Volume VII, Issue 1) was adjudged the 2nd Best School Paper (Elementary-English) in the division, securing its spot as a leading beacon of campus journalism in Dipolog.

The publication’s success was anchored on a series of high-ranking finishes across several sections, proving the team had the 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 spark to outshine the competition.

The Lamp’s editorial board showcased a radiant performance, clinching 2nd Place in the Editorial, Feature, and Sports sections. The publication also earned a silver finish in Layout and Page Design, with judges noting its visually brilliant and professional aesthetic.

Further solidifying its well-rounded reporting, the paper also bagged 3rd Place in both the News and Science and Technology categories.

Following their division-level triumph, The Lamp is set to carry its torch to the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC). Stepping onto the regional stage, the editorial team remains steadfast in its mission: to Read, Reflect and Radiate.

𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊: 𝐏𝐂𝐒 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐙𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐀 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫; 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬

Resilience was the name of the game for the Punta Central School (PCS) Boys’ Volleyball team as they clinched a hard-fought Second Place finish at the ZANDIDAA Triangular Meet held at the Linabo Covered Court, Dapitan City, Jan. 26–29, 2026.

While they ultimately took home the silver, the PCS squad proved their championship caliber early on, emerging as the dominant force in the first half of the tournament.

The boys from Punta opened the meet with a "head-to-head" clinic, outclassing their opponents in the first leg of the competition. Their early-round dominance was fueled by high-percentage serving and an aggressive middle-block defense that left their rivals searching for answers.

By winning the first part of the tournament undefeated, the squad sent a clear message that Dipolog City’s boys' volleyball team remains a top-tier threat in the province.

A major highlight of the tournament was the performance of Rolly John R. Bacatan, who continued his "MVP streak" from the DICAA Meet. Bacatan’s explosive spiking and ability to rally the team during intense volleys kept the momentum in Punta’s favor, even as the competition grew fiercer in the final stages.

The team's tactical discipline was a direct reflection of the leadership of Mr. James Ralph V. Aleta and Mrs. Jerahmae R. Austero. Alongside the physical conditioning provided by Trainer Banjhun Enoy Tariao and Sir Jonard Enoy, the boys displayed a level of endurance that allowed them to push through back-to-back matches in the grueling four-day event.

Though they fell just short of the gold in a nail-biting finale, the 2nd place finish solidifies PCS as one of the most consistent volleyball schools in the division.

"Our boys showed true heart in that opening leg," said the coaching staff. "A silver medal at the ZANDIDAA level is a massive achievement, and it only makes us hungrier for the next challenge."
