Today, September 23, 2026, Bajet-Castillo High School joins the global celebration of the International Day of Sign Languages under this year’s theme:

✨ “Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights” ✨

The theme calls for the human rights of Deaf people to become a reality in every aspect of life, emphasizing the importance of access to sign languages in education, public services, information, participation, and cultural life.

This celebration means more than learning signs but breaking communication barriers, promoting inclusion, respecting Deaf culture, and ensuring that Deaf learners are seen, heard, valued, and included.

At BCHS, our hands speak, our hearts connect, and our commitment to inclusion continues.

"Communication comes in many forms, and every form deserves respect. Let’s embrace empathy, break barriers, and celebrate the incredible voices of the deaf community that inspire us to connect beyond words."

In line with the celebration of the National Deaf Awareness Week, BCHS held a meaningful Mass last Nov. 7 to honor and recognize the contributions and needs of the Deaf community.

The Mass concluded with a prayer for guidance and understanding, asking for continued efforts in promoting accessibility, awareness, and equal opportunities for all. Through this celebration, our school strengthened the sense of unity, respect, and support for our Deaf students and the broader Deaf community.

SNED learners actively participated in the school’s earthquake drill today at 10:00 o'clock in the morning. With the guidance and supervision of their teachers, they participated in the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” drill technique and calmly evacuated to the designated area. The activity helped them understand the importance of preparedness and safety during emergencies.

The SNED Progress Report Distribution was successfully conducted today. Progress reports were distributed to parents and guardians. The Teachers discussed the learners’ academic performance, behavior, and needed interventions. This activity strengthened home-school collaboration and ensured that parents were well-informed of their children’s progress.

Bawat kumpas ng kamay at galaw ng daliri ay nagiging tulay upang maipadama ang damdamin, maipahayag ang saloobin, at maibahagi ang yaman ng ating kultura. Sa pamamagitan nito, ating ipinagdiriwang ang tunay na diwa ng Buwan ng Wika—ang pagkakaisa, paggalang, at pag-unawa sa kabila ng pagkakaiba.

Ang Kwentong Senyas ay paalala na ang wika, anumang anyo nito, ay nagbibigay-buhay sa ating pagkatao at nag-uugnay sa atin bilang iisang sambayanang Pilipino.
