I work best with clients who communicate calmly, ask questions first, and treat collaboration as a partnership, not surveillance.

I don’t work well with clients who make me feel like I’m being watched every minute.

And I will never compromise my self-worth just to keep a contract.

The clients I do my best work with are those who:

Acknowledge good decisions

Give constructive feedback

Communicate clearly and respectfully

Treat my time as my own

I’m not a good VA for people who need workers.

Before I became a Virtual Assistant, I worked in the government — specifically in the education sector.

On paper, it looked stable.
In reality, it felt heavy.

The system was… messed up.
And deep inside, I knew I didn’t want to stay long enough to become numb to it.

When an opportunity in customer service opened up, I grabbed it — not because I was ready, but because I was desperate for change.

I was scared.
Scared of instability.
Scared because my skills came from a completely different industry.
And honestly? I had very high self-doubt.

I kept questioning myself until people started telling me,
“Impostor syndrome lang ‘yan.”

Then I experienced working from home.

And for the first time, I thought:

The idea that if I wanted to be valuable, I could do something about it.

So I learned.
A lot.
I became a course hoarder. 😅
Not because I wanted certificates — but because I wanted relevance.

Then one day, a client praised my work.

It was simple, but it meant everything.
Because it never happened before — at least not from people whose professional opinion mattered.

That’s when I stayed.

Because in freelancing, growth depends on you.
Because time flexibility is a privilege you earn.
Because working from home allowed me to rest, to breathe, and to be closer to my family.

And yes — foreign clients respect boundaries in ways I never experienced before.

To aspiring Filipino VAs:
This path is not about experience alone.

It’s about mindset.
Freelancing is not for the weak — it demands accountability, growth, and self-leadership.

I became a Virtual Assistant not because of money,
but because of the endless growth this industry allows.

And I’m still growing.

Usually, hindi mahihirap ang unang tasks na dini-delegate ng business owners. 👌

Inbox management.
Admin work.
Follow-ups.

Hindi dahil “madali” sila,
kundi dahil kumakain sila ng oras at mental energy. 😩

Aspiring VAs, kapag gamay mo ang mga tasks na ‘to,
