Macabunar and coordinated by our energetic ARPAN Supervisor Dr. Mombao Benito-Abdul, observes United Nations Day. This year, under the theme "Cultures in Harmony: An ASEAN, UNESCO, and United Nations Day Celebration," we honored not only the spirit of global unity but also the richness of our cultures as the foundation of progress.

The program was spearheaded by our distinguished Principal, Saada Sarip Ibrahim, alongside our committed teaching force: Sir Jalal B. Casim, Sir Mohaimen B. Wandi, Ma’am Asmin B. A Legacy Beyond Politics

The political storm raged, and the winds of dissent howled around the beleaguered figure of Minister Mohagher Iqbal. For many, his "hardline" stance was a point of contention, a political liability in the intricate dance of power. Yet, what his critics failed to see was the silent, unshakeable foundation upon which he stood—a foundation built not of political alliances or public posturing, but of the deep, enduring love and support of the people he had dedicated his life to serving. To the masses of BARMM, especially the teachers, the youth, and the children, he was more than a minister; he was a father, the father of education who had opened doors to a future once only dreamed of.

In the classrooms of the Special Geographic Area, and the makeshift schools of Mapun, Tawi-Tawi, a quiet revolution was taking place, and it was his legacy. A child, once taught under the threat of gunfire, now learned to read in a safe, peaceful environment. A young teacher, finally given the resources and dignity she deserved, found renewed purpose in her profession. The youth, who had been offered a roadmap to an educated future, rallied to his cause with a fierce loyalty born not of obligation, but of gratitude.

These were the true pillars of his strength. The political headwinds were nothing more than a passing squall against a man whose roots ran deep into the heart of his community. The love and support of the masses, the innocent faith of the children, and the hopeful aspirations of the youth and teachers became a living shield. It was this deep, grassroots connection that would ensure he will not just survive the storm, but emerge from it stronger than ever before. For a man who had dedicated his life to planting the seeds of knowledge, his harvest was not power, but the unbreakable trust of a people who knew that their future was safe in his hands.
