Barangay Poblacion Baco Extends Lifeline Through Flood Pumping Initiative for flooded Benito R. Villar Memorial School
After days of continuous heavy rainfall, a school in Poblacion, Baco, Oriental Mindoro was left flooded, affecting the safety, comfort, and normal operations of the school community. In response to this challenge, the Barangay Government of Poblacion, under the leadership of Barangay Captain Alexander Calderon, immediately initiated a flood pumping operation to help remove the accumulated water and restore a safer environment for learners, teachers, and school personnel.
The flood pumping initiative reflects the strong spirit of cooperation and public service of the barangay leadership. Through the use of available resources and equipment, the effort aimed to speed up the drainage of floodwaters and support the school in returning to its regular activities after the prolonged rains.
