OIC SDS Pagatpatan joins ACS first flag raising ceremony this year

Dr. Vivian Luz S. Pagatpatan, CESO VI, Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Office of the Schools Division Superintendent, attended the first flag raising ceremony of this year of Alaminos Central School (ACS) in front of the newly restored Gabaldon Schoolhouse Building, this morning.

Dr. Pagatpatan, on her message to the populace of ACS, reminded them the three values they should possess to be an asset of the society. These values are self-discipline, love, and respect.

Moreover, she told the grade five and six pupils, who are occupying the Gabaldon Building, to take extra- effort in helping to preserve the said building.

Meanwhile, Dr. Orlando I. Guerrero, Chief-Curriculum Implementation Division, OIC, Office of the School Principal, announced the upcoming second quarterly test which will be on January 22 and 23. He also commended the performance of the campus journalists who were given recognition on their respective events in the recently concluded Division Training Workshop for School Paper Advisers and Campus Journalists and to further do their best for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference.

Some ACS teachers who rendered more than 10 years in teaching were also given loyalty award. Certificate of Recognition were handed to them by Dr. Pagatpatan and Dr. Guerrero.

Region 1 Director Dr. Tolentino Aquino graced the inauguration of the newly-restored Gabaldon Schoolhouse Building, at the Alaminos Central School, Dec. 19.

The SDO Alaminos City's efforts to assist with the maintenance and restoration of the city's oldest American edifice were highlighted by this historic event.

Dr. Tolentino emphasized the importance of inspiration that the Gabaldon Schoolhouse Building provides to individuals, particularly underprivileged yet deserving students.

Meanwhile, Curriculum and Implementation Chief, Dr. Orlando Guerrero noted the importance of restoring historical and cultural relevance established by Dr. Henry Manning Butler, the school's first principal, and ensuring that Alaminians will continue rebuilding what has been started for the goodness of the entire community.

In addition, Dr. Tolentino reiterated that the commencement underscored the local government's dedication to assisting the Alaminians in improving their lives and achieving success.

ACS Scouters reap 2 Golds in Modern Dance, Scout Oath and Law Tilt

Alaminos Central School’s (ACS) boy scouts bagged 2 golds in Modern Dance and Boy Scout Oath and Law Contest in the recently concluded Alaminos City Division Day Camp held at Alos Elementary School, Oct. 20.

ACS scouters bested 6 participating public elementary schools in the Schools Division of Alaminos City in modern dance and 18 in Boyscout Oath and Law Contest.

This year’s Day Camp theme is “Youth Engagement: Sustaining Relevance and Strengthening Resilience”.

Moreover, this Division Day Camp aims to provide an avenue for scout masters and scouters to have basic training for the upcoming 43rd Pangasinan-San Carlos City Council Jamboree and Kawan Holiday and the 12th Pangasinan-San Carlos City Council/KID/KAB PALABAS/PALARO 2023.
