CALLING ALL YOUNG HERITAGE ENTHUSIASTS! 📣📣📣

The educational program is back to raise awareness among the youth about the culture and heritage of the Filipino People, just in time for the celebration of . As part of its goal of sharing knowledge through exhibitions, publications, educational programs, and technical expertise, the National Museum of Anthropology Visitor Operations Section will conduct a heritage tour of two fascinating exhibitions—“Manlilikha ng Bayan: National Living Treasure of the Philippines” and “Entwined Spheres: Baskets and Mats as Containers, Conveyors, and Costumes”. This heritage tour will later be followed by a mat-weaving activity.

This activity will be held on May 20, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN and is open to young heritage enthusiasts aged 7 to 12 years old. For those interested, make sure to register at the soonest possible time, because slots are limited! Admission will be FREE, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of this exciting activity!

Today is the 125th death anniversary of Feliciano Jocson who is believed by some to have designed the National Flag. A licensed pharmacist who became a passionate revolutionary, his short life was enmeshed in the internal politics of the Revolution, having to lay his life down in unpleasant circumstances.
