The Science Caravan organized by STE 8 Molave students from Monkayo National High School, led by adviser Ms. Pat Cristy Dagondon, was a big hit. Despite busy schedules, the event happened in the Grade 4 Pearl classroom at Monkayo Central Elementary School with Ms. Marifel Barredo guiding 44 participating students.

The Science Caravan created a fun and interactive learning environment where students not only enjoyed themselves but also celebrated along with their new knowledge. The STE 8 Molave students did a great job leading different activities that immersed the Grade 4 Pearl students in the world of science under Ms. Pat Cristy Dagondon's guidance.

The young participants happily absorbed the shared knowledge, showing gratitude for the chance to explore science in a hands-on way. The event also featured snacks that added to the festive atmosphere, creating a sense of togetherness and achievement among the students.

The success of the Science Caravan showcases the positive impact of engaging educational activities. It has left a lasting impression on the students at Monkayo Central Elementary School, inspiring future efforts to involve students in the exciting realm of science.

Monkayo Central Elementary School was abuzz with excitement on March 15 as the esteemed science group, STE 7 Gold, orchestrated a captivating science caravan at the school's science laboratory. Led by their dedicated adviser, Jisille Faith Antolin, the event commenced at 1 pm and saw the enthusiastic participation of Grade 3- Guijo students from Monkayo Central Elementary School, guided by their adviser, Josephine Gaan.

The primary objective of the science caravan was to seamlessly blend fun and education, ensuring that the young learners were fully immersed in the world of science. The participants were treated to a series of interactive and entertaining activities carefully crafted to simplify complex scientific concepts, making learning an enjoyable and accessible experience.

The Grade 3 students wholeheartedly embraced this unique learning opportunity, expressing their delight and appreciation for the chance to engage with the STE 7 Gold team and explore scientific principles in a hands-on manner. As the event drew to a close, the students were filled with a renewed sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for science, expressing their eagerness to participate in similar events in the future.

The students of Monkayo National High School, specializing in Science, Technology, and Engineering, organized and hosted the Project Developing Opportunity For Scientific Inquiry Through Engagement Among Students (D.O.S.E.S) for students from Monkayo Central Elementary School, with the goal of enhancing scientific literacy.

MNHS students from Grade 9 Calla Lily under the guidance of Mrs. Liz Go and Grade 10 Jadeite under the guidance of Mrs. Daryl Cadanilla, collaborated to organize a Science Caravan for the grade 5 Gomburza students led by their adviser Amalia Puedan and grade 6 Mayon students led by their science teacher Helen Muring.

The event took place in the MNHS Science laboratory and featured various activities intended to spark interest in the elementary students, such as Acronym Jingle, Quiz Bee, Spelling Bee, Science Misconceptions, Scientist in the Spotlight, Science behind Local Practices, Science Tricks, Microscopy, Science Challenges, Science Drama on Global Warming,Science Olympics, and Community Dance.

The event was conducted in accordance with Division Memorandum No. 041 and aimed to promote learning science by engaging curiosity through peers, under the initiative of Mr. Emmanuel Clarion, Education Program Supervisor in Science.

The first part of the project took place on February 23, 2024, and was considered successful and enjoyable by both students and facilitators who came together to enhance scientific literacy. The event concluded with the awarding and recognition of those who helped make the event possible.
