To strengthen professional knowledge,skills and practices in support of quality teaching and learning, SQNHS teachers actively participated in the two-day In-Service Training for Teachers held on September 09-10,2026 with the theme 'Empowering Future-Ready Educators Through Evidence-Informed,ICT-Integrated,Flexible,Inclusive and Higher Order Teaching and Assessment.'
The said training brought together educators who engaged in meaningful discussions,collaborative activities and hands-on learning sessions focused on current teaching practices.
Among the key topics discussed were: Alternative Delivery Mode:Flexible Learning and Education in Emergencies by Mrs. Nida A. Sulian- Principal I; AI-Ready Teacher: Harnessing Generative AI For Smarter Teaching, Assessment and Classroom Innovation by Mrs. Reycilda C. Cabilan- Teacher VI; Thinking That Transfers: Meaning and Importance of HOTS,Multi-Tasking and Revised Bloom's Taxonomy by Mr. Carnhel H. Balao-Teacher III; and, Building Cognitive Progression Through the HOTS SOLO Model by Mrs. Glenda V. Sanay -Teacher VI.
Several teachers were not around during the said training as they attended a different seminar but the INSET participating teachers are expected to share relevant learnings and practices with their colleagues upon their return.
In her message,the school head,Mrs. Sulian, emphasized the importance of continuous professional development in improving teachers' effectiveness.
The INSET concluded with a commitment from the teachers to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the training and continue working together towards a more responsive educational environment.
