Another successful day here at KSPEDS as we continue our Brigada Eskwela and enrollment activities! 💪 Today, we were overjoyed to see many dedicated volunteers show up to lend a helping hand, your time and effort truly made a difference! 💚

A huge 🗣️shout out to the Local PNP of Kabasalan for dropping by and showing their solid support. Your presence boosted everyone’s morale and reminded us of the power of community partnership. 👮‍♂️🤝

We are also incredibly grateful to our generous and supportive parents who contributed donations to help improve our school facilities. Your kindness is deeply appreciated! 🧡

📌 KSPEDS Day 2 of Enrollment: Smooth, Systematic, and Supportive! ✨

It’s another productive day here at KSPEDS as we welcome learners and their parents for Day 2 of Enrollment! Our process was designed to be smooth, organized, and child-friendly, ensuring every step supports both our learners and their families.

Here’s a quick look at the step-by-step procedure that guided the enrollees and parents:

✅ Step 1: Document Submission & Enrollment Form
Returning learners started their enrollment by retrieving their progress report card from their previous adviser.
For our incoming kindergarten pupils, a birth certificate was submitted, while transfer learners brought both their report card from their previous school and birth certificate.
After this, everyone proceeded to fill out the enrollment form provided.

📏 Step 2: Health Check and Vision Screening for Kinder to Grade 3
To monitor our learners’ well-being, all pupils underwent a height and weight check. Kindergarten to Grade 3 incoming learners had vision screening to support their overall health and development.

📚 Step 3: Reading Assessment
All incoming Grade 1 learners and transferees participated in a reading assessment, an essential step in understanding where our learners are in their literacy journey and how we can best support them.

🤝 Step 4: Brigada Eskwela Station
Parents actively shared their time and resources in our Brigada Eskwela section. From volunteering to donating, their involvement shows that education truly thrives when the whole community comes together. 💚

📝 Step 5: Final Submission
Finally, after a thorough check by our dedicated teachers, the completed enrollment forms were submitted to the designated drop box, marking the end of the process with smiles and excitement for the new school year ahead!

📰 KSPEDS Launches Brigada Eskwela 2025, Kicks Off Enrollment Period 🏫✨

Kabasalan Special Education School (KSPEDS) officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2025 today, June 9, 2025, with an opening program filled with meaningful messages and strong community participation. The event also marked Day 1 of the Enrollment Period, making it a productive and inspiring start to the week!

School Principal, Dr. Dennis M. Yape, warmly welcomed all attendees, expressing gratitude for the continued support of parents, stakeholders, and community partners. He emphasized the importance of unity in preparing the school for the upcoming academic year.

General PTA President, Mrs. Mary Gay Jumangit, delivered an encouraging message, calling on fellow parents and stakeholders to actively take part in Brigada Eskwela 2025. She also showed appreciation for the school’s efforts and demonstrated support by providing snacks to teachers during the event.

Mrs. Cheryl B. Velasco, MT-II, shared a brief but insightful orientation about Brigada Eskwela 2025, highlighting the goals and of the said affair.

In the spirit of Bayanihan, parents generously shared donations during the enrollment process to help support the school's needs for Brigada Eskwela. The Barangay Local Government Unit of Poblacion, Kabasalan headed by Capt. Arnulfo Bacus also rendered valuable service by mowing the weeds, cleaning the school drainage, and sweeping dried leaves showing that true community service knows no limits. 💪🌱🧹

Additionally, the KSPEDS Team and parents worked hand-in-hand to conduct the National Inventory Day (NID), ensuring that the school's facilities and necessities are accounted for and ready for the school year ahead.

💖 KSPEDS is truly grateful to all parents, volunteers, and stakeholders who gave their time, effort, and resources to support the school. Your involvement makes a big difference in creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for our learners.

KSPEDS Triumphs at DSPC, Advances to RSPC 2025

The Kabasalan Special Education School (KSPEDS) has once again emerged victorious in the recently concluded Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC). Diplahan National High School held the event on January 8-9, 2025.

Their accomplishment guaranteed them a spot at the much awaited Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), which would be held in Zamboanga City from February 5–7, 2025. Aside from that, KSPEDS was hailed champion in the Elementary English category.

This was a result of the commitment and diligence of the KSPEDS coaches and learners who had trained vigorously for this competition.

The KSPEDS community is extremely proud of this outstanding accomplishment and offers the campus journalists its unwavering support as they work more to bring honor to the school.
