TALISAY, BATANGAS (August 26, 2026) — Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) are currently taking part in the PSDSA Summit 2026 at NDN Resort and Events Place, Talisay, Batangas, anchored on the theme “Empowering District Supervisors: Leading with Innovation and Educational Excellence.”

The summit brings together district supervisors in a professional gathering designed to strengthen their leadership capabilities, deepen collaboration, and promote innovative approaches to educational supervision and management.

Through various learning sessions, discussions, and sharing of practices, the activity highlights the crucial role of district supervisors in bridging education policies and programs with their effective implementation at the school level. It also provides an avenue for participants to exchange experiences and strategies that can help schools respond to emerging challenges and changing learner needs.

The theme underscores the importance of innovation, responsive leadership, and educational excellence as district supervisors continue to provide technical assistance, instructional supervision, and professional support to school heads and teachers.

More than a professional development activity, the PSDSA Summit 2026 serves as a platform for strengthening partnerships among education leaders and reaffirming their collective commitment to improving the quality of basic education.

As the summit continues today, participants are expected to bring back to their respective districts new insights, strategies, and renewed commitment to lead with purpose, embrace innovation, and contribute to the pursuit of educational excellence in every school and learning community.

IMUS CITY — Pormal na nilagdaan ng Schools Division Office (SDO) Sto. Tomas City at SDO Imus City ang isang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) para sa paggamit at pagpapatupad ng LESSPAPER System ngayong Agosto 25, 2026, sa Imus City.

Pinangunahan ang paglagda nina Lito A. Palomar, OIC-Schools Division Superintendent ng SDO Imus City, at Dr. Neil G. Angeles, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent ng SDO Sto. Tomas City, bilang pagpapagtibay sa pagtutulungan ng dalawang dibisyon sa pagsusulong ng mas episyente at makabagong pamamahala ng mga rekord.

Layunin ng partnership na mapahusay ang records management system ng SDO Sto. Tomas City sa pamamagitan ng paggamit ng LESSPAPER System. Inaasahang makatutulong ito upang maging mas mabilis at organisado ang pag-iingat, pagsubaybay, pagkuha, at pamamahala ng mahahalagang dokumento at rekord ng tanggapan.

Sa ilalim ng kasunduan, ibabahagi ng SDO Imus City ang sistema, kaalaman, at mga kaugnay na best practices upang masuportahan ang SDO Sto. Tomas City sa pagpapatupad nito. Higit sa pagbabawas ng paggamit ng papel, inaasahang mapabibilis din ng sistema ang mga transaksyon at mapalalakas ang efficiency, accessibility, accountability, at transparency sa records management.

Ang MOA signing ay sumasalamin sa kahalagahan ng collaboration at sharing of innovations sa pagitan ng mga Schools Division Offices. Sa pamamagitan ng LESSPAPER System, patuloy na isinusulong ng SDO Sto. Tomas City ang digital transformation tungo sa mas mabilis, maayos, at makabagong serbisyong magbibigay ng higit na suporta sa mga paaralan, kawani, at bawat Batang Tomasino.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 19

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

STO. TOMAS CITY, BATANGAS — Kinilala at pinarangalan ang mga natatanging Scout Leaders-Awardees sa isinagawang National Court of Honor – Lower Awards ng Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) noong Agosto 13, 2026, sa Sto. Tomas South Central School.

Isinagawa ang paggawad ng mga parangal sa harap ng mga opisyal ng Boy Scouts of the Philippines, bilang pagkilala sa dedikasyon, paglilingkod, at mahalagang ambag ng mga Scout Leaders sa pagpapaunlad ng Scouting at paghubog sa mga kabataan.

Dumalo rin sa nasabing aktibidad si Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Neil G. Angeles, CESO V, na nagpahayag ng suporta at pagkilala sa mga Scout Leaders na patuloy na naglalaan ng panahon at pagsisikap upang mapaunlad hindi lamang ang kakayahan kundi maging ang karakter ng mga mag-aaral.

Ang National Court of Honor ay nagsilbing mahalagang pagkakataon upang kilalanin ang mga g**ong nagsisilbing tagapayo, tagapagsanay, huwaran, at tagahubog ng kabataan sa pamamagitan ng Scouting.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanilang walang sawang paggabay at paglilingkod, patuloy na naipamamalas ng mga Scout Leaders ang diwa ng “Be Prepared”—ang pagiging handa na mamuno, tumulong, at maglingkod sa kapwa at sa bayan.

Ang pagkilalang ito ay hindi lamang gantimpala para sa kanilang mga nagawa, kundi isang pagpapatunay sa mahalagang papel ng mga g**o at Scout Leaders sa paghubog ng mga kabataang may disiplina, integridad, pananagutan, at malasakit sa kapwa.

Sa patuloy na suporta ng pamunuan ng SDO Sto. Tomas City at ng BSP, nananatiling matatag ang layunin na linangin ang kabataang handang mamuno, maglingkod, at maging mabuting mamamayan ng bansa.

STO. TOMAS CITY, BATANGAS — The Lions International-Batangas Chapter and the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Sto. Tomas City formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the project “Baon Mo–Tulong Ko” held at the SDO Conference Room on August 12, 2026.

The initiative aims to provide assistance to selected learners of SDO Sto. Tomas City, particularly those belonging to the marginalized sector, to help address their basic school needs and support their continued participation in education.

Through the partnership, Lions International and SDO Sto. Tomas City reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting learner welfare and ensuring that financial and socioeconomic circumstances will not hinder children from pursuing their education.

The “Baon Mo–Tulong Ko” Project embodies the spirit of compassion, volunteerism, and bayanihan, bringing together stakeholders who believe that every learner deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

The MOA signing marks another meaningful step toward strengthening community partnerships and mobilizing support for learners who need it most.
