14CMOBn Supports Optical and Hearing Aid Mission in Daanbantayan

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City โ€“ The 14th Civil-Military Operations โ€œKatipananโ€ Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, PA led by 1LT Roylando Garcia PA, together with Ms. Cheryl Orias, Aid Mission Philippines Volunteer, provided Civil-Military Operations (CMO) assistance during the pre-screening activity for the upcoming Optical and Hearing Aid Mission at Brgy. Egujo Elementary School, Daanbantayan, Cebu.

The activity, conducted by Children of Asia Philippines headed by Ms. Barbie Romeo Guardiario, in partnership with Optical Center led by its Head Doctor, Dr. Liza Bautista, aimed to register and assess more than 3,000 children who may qualify as beneficiaries of the Optical and Hearing Aid Mission.

The 14CMO personnel assisted in crowd management and maintained an orderly flow of participants throughout the pre-screening process, contributing to the safe and efficient conduct of the activity.

The pre-screening concluded successfully without any untoward incident. Ms. Guardiario expressed her appreciation to the troops for their valuable assistance and support in ensuring the smooth implementation of the activity.

She further announced that the pre-screening will continue the following day to accommodate walk-in registrations from residents of Brgy. Egujo as preparations for the Optical and Hearing Aid Mission continue.

Through sustained community engagement and responsive CMO support, the 14CMOBn remains committed to working alongside partners and stakeholders in bringing essential services closer to communities and improving the well-being of the people.
