South Greenville School Inc. marked a significant milestone as it actively participated in the Validation of Documents for the implementation of the Strengthened Senior High School (SSHS) Program for the School Year 2026–2027. The activity was held on April 10, 2026, at Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School.

In preparation for the validation, the school organized a dedicated team tasked with compiling and ensuring the completeness of all required documents. The initiative was spearheaded by the School Principal, Mrs. Maritess G. Domingo, and was strongly supported and monitored by the School Directress, Mrs. Rosario R. Calo, whose guidance and encouragement played a vital role in the team’s efforts.

On behalf of South Greenville School Inc., Mrs. Domingo, together with the school registrar, Ms. Cristina C. Bugia, personally attended the evaluation. They were assisted by Dr. Gisela I. Pingad, PSDS of the Pila Sub-Office, who facilitated the validation process and provided guidance throughout the evaluation.

The school’s efforts paid off, as the validation proceeded smoothly. Mrs. Domingo received positive and affirming remarks from the evaluators, highlighting that the submitted documents were complete, organized, and supported with clear evidence.

This achievement underscores South Greenville School Inc.’s commitment to academic excellence and institutional readiness. The successful validation not only reflects the school’s compliance with educational standards but also strengthens its capacity to deliver quality senior high school education.

More importantly, the implementation of the SSHS Program is expected to bring long-term benefits to students. It ensures a more structured, relevant, and competency-based learning experience that prepares learners for higher education, employment, and real-world challenges. Through this initiative, the school continues to uphold its mission of providing students with opportunities for growth, development, and future success.

Ngayong ika-9 ng Abril, ginugunita ng bansa ang Araw ng Kagitingan bilang pag-alala sa tapang at sakripisyo ng mga sundalo noong Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig, lalo na sa Bataan Death March. Ang paggunita ay paalala na ang kalayaan ay pinaghirapan at ipinaglaban.

Palm Sunday: The Start of Holy Week

Today, we celebrate Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week. This day remembers the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, where people welcomed him by waving palm branches.

Palm Sunday highlights values of humility and peace, as Jesus chose to enter the city simply, not as a powerful ruler.

Pila, Philippines – March 13, 2026 – The Grade 12 students of South Greenville School proudly received their certificates for successfully completing the three-part training series on 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 during a short ceremony held at the school's Multi-purpose Hall.

The training, designed to equip senior students with essential electrical knowledge and practical skills, was facilitated by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, whose expertise and guidance were instrumental in the students' learning journey.

On behalf of the school administration, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗚𝗼 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼, the School Principal expressed the school's heartfelt gratitude to the engineers for their time and dedication, emphasizing the significance of the training in preparing students for future academic and professional opportunities.

Looking ahead, South Greenville School Inc. is eager to continue and strengthen its partnership with the LSPU-SCC College of Engineering, aiming to offer more programs that bridge classroom learning with real-world skills.

The event concluded with a photo opportunity showing proud students holding their certificates, marking a milestone in their academic journey and highlighting the school's commitment to providing quality and relevant education.

Isang makulay at kahanga-hangang pagtatanghal ang ipinamalas ng mga mag-aaral ng South Greenville School Inc. nang kanilang isadula ang mga piling klasikal na nobela sa asignaturang Filipino noong ika-13 ng Marso, 2026 sa entablado ng paaralan.

Layunin ng gawaing ito na higit na maunawaan ng mga mag-aaral ang kahalagahan ng panitikan at ang mga aral na hatid ng mga klasikong akdang Pilipino. Sa pamamagitan ng pagsasadula, nabigyang-buhay ng mga mag-aaral ang mga tauhan at pangyayari sa mga kilalang nobela.

Ang mga mag-aaral sa Baitang Pito ay nagtanghal ng epikong “𝙄𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙖,” kung saan ipinakita nila ang pakikipagsapalaran ni Don Juan sa paghahanap sa mahiwagang ibon upang mailigtas ang kanilang ama na hari.

Samantala, ang mga mag-aaral sa Baitang Walo ay nagsadula ng “𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙖,” na nagpakita ng matinding pag-ibig, katapatan, at pakikipaglaban sa gitna ng pagsubok ng pangunahing tauhang si Florante.

Ipinamalas naman ng mga mag-aaral sa Baitang Siyam ang makabayang nobelang “𝙉𝙤𝙡𝙞 𝙈𝙚 𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙚,”kung saan naipakita ang mga isyung panlipunan noong panahon ng kolonyalismo at ang pakikibaka ni Crisostomo Ibarra para sa pagbabago.

Habang ang mga mag-aaral sa Baitang Sampu ay nagtanghal ng “𝙀𝙡 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢𝙤,” na naglalarawan ng mas matindi at mapait na realidad ng lipunan sa pamamagitan ng karakter ni Simoun at ng kanyang paghahangad ng paghihiganti at pagbabago.

Lahat ng mga mag-aaral ay nagtanghal sa entablado nang may kahanga-hangang galing at husay sa pag-arte. Kapansin-pansin ang kanilang pagbibigay-buhay sa mga tauhan ng bawat nobela na makikita sa kanilang ekspresyon, pagkilos, at maging sa kanilang angkop na kasuotan.

Sa kabuuan, naging matagumpay ang gawaing ito sapagkat hindi lamang nito naipakita ang talento ng mga mag-aaral sa pag-arte, kundi lalo ring pinayaman ang kanilang pag-unawa at pagpapahalaga sa mga klasikong akda ng panitikang Pilipino.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱: 𝗦𝗚𝗦 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹

Students, teachers, and staffs of South Greenville School Inc. actively participated in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held on March 12, 2026, as part of the nationwide campaign to promote disaster preparedness and safety awareness.

The drill was conducted under the initiative of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, which encourages institutions across the country to regularly practice safety procedures during earthquakes. At the sound of the alarm, members of the school community immediately performed the proper “𝘿𝙧𝙤𝙥, 𝘾𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙” procedure inside their classrooms and offices.

After the initial response, students, teachers, and staff safely evacuated their respective rooms and proceeded to the designated safe area. Wearing their protective hard hats, the participants gathered at the school grounds where they were accounted for by their advisers and assigned personnel.

The activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness of the school community in case a real earthquake occurs. It also helped students understand the importance of staying calm, following safety protocols, and cooperating with teachers and emergency coordinators during disasters.

Through its active participation in the nationwide drill led by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, South Greenville School Inc. continues to demonstrate its commitment to ensuring the safety and readiness of its students, faculty, and staff in times of emergency.

𝗦𝗚𝗦 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗕𝗙𝗣 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 “𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲”

Students and teacher from South Greenville School Inc. participated in the Open House Exhibit 2026 organized by the Bureau of Fire Protection at the Pila Fire Station on March 13, 2026. The activity gathered selected students from various schools who were invited to take part in the educational event that aimed to raise awareness about fire safety and emergency preparedness.

During the event, the firefighters warmly welcomed the participants and introduced them to the vital roles and responsibilities of fire personnel in protecting lives and properties. The students were given a guided tour of the fire station where they were able to see different firefighting tools, rescue equipment, and fire trucks used during emergency operations.

One of the highlights of the Open House Exhibit was the hands-on activities prepared for the students. Participants had the opportunity to experience descending from a building using safety ropes under the supervision of trained firefighters. They also learned basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques, allowing them to understand how to respond during emergency situations.

Moreover, the students were able to try operating the fire hose or water machine used to extinguish fires. They also enjoyed riding the fire trucks and wearing a firefighter’s protective suit, giving them a glimpse of what it feels like to be part of the firefighting team.

Through the initiative of the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Open House Exhibit 2026 provided an engaging and informative experience for the participants.

The activity not only taught student's important safety skills but also inspired appreciation for the bravery, dedication, and service of the firefighters of the Pila Fire Station.

On February 26, 2026, South Greenville School Inc. hosted a Career Development Support Program for Grade 10 and Grade 12 students, led by the 𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 (𝑷𝑬𝑺𝑶) of Pila.

The seminar gave students practical insights on career planning, workplace skills, and future job opportunities. Through interactive discussions, students learned how to prepare for their careers and make informed decisions about their professional paths.

SGS expressed gratitude to the PESO team for inspiring students to explore their potential and take proactive steps toward success. The program reflects the school’s dedication to equipping students with knowledge and skills beyond the classroom, preparing them for a bright and fulfilling future.
