READ | Canva Gives Teachers Premium Access and Training for Free

PASIG CITY, 30 October 2024 — Public school teachers and staff across the country are set to receive free access and training on Canva for Education starting November, following the Department of Education’s (DepEd) partnership with Canva Philippines.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara signed a partnership on Wednesday with Canva Philippines for the rollout of Canva for Education to further bring digital design and creativity into Filipino classrooms and support teachers with user-friendly tools for more interactive learning.

During the ceremonial signing, Sec. Angara was joined by Her Excellency HK Yu PSM, FCPA (Aust), Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, Ms. Yani Hornilla-Donato, Canva Philippines Country Lead, and Ms. Maisie Littaua, Marketing and Content & Discovery Lead of Canva Philippines

Amb. Yu lauded the speedy action of Sec. Angara’s team on the partnership on Canva for Education, which will give our learners and educators the tools for 21st century learning.

“What I didn’t expect was how quickly it was going to happen under Secretary Angara’s leadership. It was literally only few months ago when he was first appointed that I called on him to emphasize how Australian government will continue to support in improving your education system,” Amb. Yu said.

Canva for Education is an all-in-one visual communication platform that’s 100% free for all K-12 schools, teachers, and students. With it, teachers and students can access all the benefits of Canva’s premium features, empowering them to create, collaborate, and communicate visually.

“The President himself said in his SONA that classrooms should be incubators of creativity and innovation. With this partnership, we’re building those incubators, one design at a time,” Sec. Angara said.

Under the phased rollout, select teachers and central office staff will benefit from the pilot training using Canva’s design platform using their official DepEd email. It will also be rolled out to the 17 regions starting January 2025.

With Canva for Education, teachers and students alike will have access to thousands of templates, interactive presentation tools, and design resources—all for free.

Ms. Yani Hornilla-Donato, Canva Philippines Country Lead, expressed excitement over the partnership, noting that this collaboration would help teachers and learners embrace digital and design literacy.

“Visual communication is fast becoming a must-have skill in today’s workplace, and it’s time for classrooms in the Philippines to fully embrace the power of digital and design literacy. Through our partnership with DepEd, we’re empowering teachers and students with the tools and technology they need to spark creativity and collaboration. We’re so excited for DepEd’s support in this rollout, and we can’t wait to see how this empowers Filipino teachers and students nationwide,” Hornilla-Donato said.

To access Canva for Education for free, teachers and staff can log in at
www.canva.com using their DepEd email address. To know more about the initiative, please access the dedicated DepEd Resource Hub in Canva at http://canvaph.com/deped-resourcehub.

👋 Hey there! I'm really excited to share a quick post that will take you less than 10 minutes to read. I've put together some fun new visuals to inspire my mentees, aspiring experts, business partners, and everyone interested in growing their businesses with JL JL Salomon MEB Consultancy. It’s so heartwarming to see so many friends and new faces eager to dive into business design and collaboration! 🥰 I'm thrilled to welcome back my followers, friends, clients, and aspiring entrepreneurs! Your support means so much to me. I hope my insights from personal experiences help you. Let's start with a quote from a business author I admire, followed by some spiritual reflections from my journey.

📚 In Robert Kiyosaki's "Retire Young, Retire Rich, he mentioned, "..HOW TO SEE THE FUTURE.. On a flight from London to New York, I sat next to a high-level executive from IBM. After we got to know
each other, I asked him, "How do you prepare for the future?" His reply was, "The mistake adults make when looking at the future is that they see the future from their own eyes. That is why so many adults cannot see the changes that are coming. If you want to see how the world will be in ten years, just watch a fifteen-year-old
boy or girl. Observe the world from their eyes and you will see the future..."

In today's entry, we will delve into Module #6: Closing the Purchase. Develop trust in the online sales process and maximize the ticket (cross-selling & up-selling). We have provided best practices and strategies to assist our participants and you, as readers, in creating your international expansion business plan, with a current emphasis on DEVELOPING TRUST IN THE ONLINE SALES PROCESS.

👉Making it easy by highlighting three practical steps, three vital tips, and available platforms in preparing them for their export journey to DEVELOPING TRUST.

1. Develop trust in the online sales process and maximize the ticket; needs the following:
a. You present complete, clear, and attractive product information.
b. You implement customer care to assist potential customers in making a purchase.

a.) You present complete, clear, and attractive product information.

- Do use high-resolution and high-quality product photos.
- Provide a clear product description, including size, material used, color, and price range!
- Describe how it differs from similar products; imagine how it would feel to have it in their hands, buy it, wear it, and use it. Give them confidence that they will get what they are looking for.

NOTE: It will take SEVEN SECONDS to make the first impression.

b. You implement customer care to assist potential customers in making a purchase.

- Investing time and effort in creating a relationship with prospective customers will pay off.
- Offer more information and anticipate questions; customers will feel comfortable asking more questions and continuing your conversation.
- When encountering a rude customer, remaining calm, empathizing, and being polite helps to maintain the customer's interest!

NOTE: It may also take SEVEN SECONDS to end connection with a prospective client.

🥰 Before I share my insights, have you had a chance to read my post from September 15th? If you haven’t yet, I suggest taking a moment to check it out. Once you’ve done that, please give it a ❤️ so I know you're up to speed. This will help you stay engaged and informed about my views on the ELEVATE YOUR EXPORT GAME PROGRAM.

👉Additionally, I encourage you to take a look at the images below. These photos showcase our sixth week of dynamic discussions centered around Module #6, highlighting our aspiring exporters and feedback from my Mentees. They express their gratitude for having a mentor who not only equipped them with a winning business plan but also became their enthusiastic supporter.

🥰As I reflect on these experiences, I feel passionate about seeing their enthusiasm for growing, thriving, and rewarding businesses. I recall when I was developing my website strategy; I analyzed my competitors' looks and tried to feel their messaging, which was a significantly awesome learning experience! This led me to evaluate my own customer experience journey value chain. I also took into account vital overall experiences, such as digital assets, proper messaging, product details, methods of teaching, and delivery. Of course, you also need to look at hosting platforms, real-time amendments, and ongoing support services. This strategic introspection ultimately guided me from awareness to the consideration stage of my customer's journey, where I began confidently setting up each stage—awareness, consideration, conversion, loyalty, and advocacy from prospective clients. Each stage requires customized graphics, interactive tools, and content to guarantee quality, precision, and effective CRM, eCommerce, up to delivery methods. This was a crucial realization for me. Consequently, the investment for my online website design and development ranges from P25,000 to P55,000, with co-design, co-development, and implementation priced depending on the timelines. Well, I also designed subscription packages that vary from P799 to P54,999 monthly, all carefully tailored for a specific niche market of business owners who prefer a do-it-yourself approach, a co-building model, or a turn-key solution.

📲 Seeking valuable mentorship from a range of entrepreneurs can be intimidating due to their differing styles. Nonetheless, I am committed to spearheading skill development programs for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). I conduct interactive discussions, workshops, and seminars focused on entrepreneurship, international trade, and trademark issues. I am excited to assist you in growing your business both domestically and abroad, particularly if you aim to expand beyond the Philippines. For more details, check out www.jlsalomonmebconsultancy.com for customized resources that will enhance your business.

🫡 Striking a balance between keeping my weekly story concise and ensuring it stays under 10 minutes is quite a challenge! As we prepare for the upcoming week, I want to take a moment to thank my champions, namely; 1.) Ms. Orange (Tambanokano Aqua Farm) 2.) Ms. Tontho (Sustainable farming solutions) and to my 1-on-1 coaching mentees; 1.) Ms. Mary Rose (DAGTA), 2.) Ms. Mhalyn (AbsMush), 3.) Ms. Lorrina (TunAmazing), 4.) Christ Mark (Los Pepes Farm), 5.) Ms. Virgie (DRAGONFOODS), 6.) Leadina (Maestra Panaderia), 7.) Amy (Amelia's), 8.) Ms. Virgie (Amira's), 9.) Jaime (Balik-bayan Agri-farm), and Ms. Rhona, President of the Philexport 4C Cavite Chapter INC.

😇 Thank you for your active participation in one-on-one coaching and supporting to prepare our Exporters high-quality Filipino products for export to the U.S. and available to international markets. Your dedication to improving their quality and marketability is commendable..

🥰 Wishing you peace, happiness, and success, and a wonderful weekend! I truly appreciate you all.
