In compliance with the request of the National Security Council (NSC), Dodan Elementary School successfully conducted its Flag Raising Ceremony in observance of the 10th Anniversary of the Arbitral Award. The activity served as a meaningful reminder of the country's steadfast commitment to upholding international law, protecting Philippine sovereignty and sovereign rights, and promoting peace, security, and a rules-based international order.

The program began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas and other customary flag ceremony observances. A brief message highlighting the significance of the 2016 Arbitral Award was also shared, encouraging learners, teachers, and stakeholders to strengthen their sense of patriotism, unity, and responsibility as Filipinos in safeguarding the nation's interests.

Through this observance, Dodan Elementary School joins the nation in commemorating a decade of standing firm for truth, justice, and the country's sovereign rights.

Dodan Elementary School Joins Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill to Strengthen Disaster Preparedness

Dodan, Peñablanca, Cagayan | June 18, 2026 – Demonstrating its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its learners and personnel, Dodan Elementary School actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) conducted at exactly 9:00 a.m. on June 18, 2026.

The nationwide activity forms part of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Program, which aims to enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of learners, teachers, school personnel, and stakeholders during earthquake emergencies and other disaster situations.

At the sound of the emergency signal, learners, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff immediately performed the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure. Following the simulated earthquake scenario, participants proceeded calmly and orderly to their designated evacuation areas under the guidance of the school's DRRM Team. The activity highlighted the school's preparedness, coordination, and strict adherence to established safety protocols.

The successful implementation of the earthquake drill reflects the collective effort of the entire Dodan Elementary School community in promoting a culture of safety, resilience, and disaster preparedness. Through regular participation in emergency drills and preparedness activities, the school continues to equip its learners and personnel with the necessary knowledge, skills, and awareness to respond effectively during emergencies.

As part of its commitment to providing a safe and secure learning environment, Dodan Elementary School remains steadfast in advocating disaster risk reduction awareness and fostering a preparedness mindset among all members of the school community.
