Today, August 21,2026, we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day as a special non-working holiday, recognizing the life and legacy of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.

Upon the ratification of Republic Act No. 9256 in 2004, the occasion recognizes his role in Philippine history and provides an opportunity to honor the events, decisions, and circumstances that shaped the country during a significant period in our history.

As we remember Ninoy, may this day also encourage us to look beyond political differences and understand the historical significance of his life and death. Commemoration is not only about remembering a person but also about understanding the past and its continuing place in the nation’s story.

History deserves to be remembered with both respect and perspective.

𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐓𝐀𝐇𝐀𝐊 2026: 𝐃𝐀𝐘 2 ✨🌿

And just like that, PAGTAHAK 2026 has come to a close. 💙

Our second and final day was filled with even more laughter, conversations, and unforgettable moments as we welcomed another wave of freshmen to the PPFG booth. Through interactive games, and shared smiles, we were reminded that the simplest moments often become the most memorable. Every visit, every story shared, and every familiar face we met made these two days truly worthwhile.

As the excitement of orientation slowly fades, we hope that every freshman carries with them the reassurance that they are never alone in this new chapter. College may bring unfamiliar paths, new challenges, and countless opportunities, but it is also a place where meaningful friendships are formed, communities are built, and people grow together.

To everyone who visited our booth, participated in our activities, and spent time with us—thank you for making our PAGTAHAK experience one to remember. Your energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity reminded us why we continue to do what we do.

As we close this chapter, we look forward to seeing each of you thrive throughout your college journey. May this be only the beginning of meaningful experiences, genuine connections, and memories you'll carry long after your freshman year.

Today, the 𝑷𝑳𝑷 𝑷𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒑 proudly took part in PAGTAHAK 2026, opening our booth to our dear freshmen with exciting games, and interactive activities, that brought everyone together. From shared laughs to friendly challenges, 𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗒 𝗂𝗇𝗍𝖾𝗋𝖺𝖼𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝖻𝖾𝖼𝖺𝗆𝖾 𝖺𝗇 𝗈𝗉𝗉𝗈𝗋𝗍𝗎𝗇𝗂𝗍𝗒 𝗍𝗈 𝗆𝖾𝖾𝗍 𝗇𝖾𝗐 𝖿𝖺𝖼𝖾𝗌, create lasting memories, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚛𝚎𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚗𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚜𝚝𝚞𝚍𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚊𝚕𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚢 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚊 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 𝚘𝚗.

More than the fun and prizes, today was about making every freshman feel seen, welcomed, and at home. Starting college can feel exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between, but we hope that through every conversation and every smile shared at our booth, we were able to make the beginning of your PLP journey a little brighter.

Yesterday, the PLP Peer Facilitators Group had the honor of finishing their 5 Saturday session in the 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, an experience that reminded us that the best leaders never stop learning.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 𝗣𝗟𝗣 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 and 𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐨 for making this opportunity possible, and to 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐀𝐥 for sharing your wisdom, experiences, and invaluable lessons with us. Yesterday, the PLP Peer Facilitators Group (PPFG) successfully conducted its Deliberation Meeting.

The deliberation served as an opportunity to strengthen our shared vision, discuss the roles and responsibilities of each committee, and align our goals for the year ahead. Through meaningful conversations, collaborative planning, and the exchange of ideas, we laid the foundation for programs and initiatives that will continue to foster a more compassionate, supportive, and mentally healthy PLP community.

As we begin this new chapter together, PPFG remains committed to creating safe spaces, promoting mental wellness, and serving with empathy and purpose. With hearts ready to listen, hands ready to help, and a team united by the mission to love well, we look forward to making this academic year one of growth, connection, and meaningful impact.

"Whenever you're lost, weary, or on the verge of throwing in the towel, let the CORE be the first place you return to."

It was always PPFG's Adviser - Ms. Marra's wisdom made everyone feel the loudest comfort, as these words of hers have become known by many. Perhaps because, beyond being a reminder, she herself has always been one of the strongest COREs of our organization, someone many of us instinctively return to whenever we need guidance, reassurance, or simply someone who believes in us.

We never really get to choose which version of ourselves lives on in someone else's memory. If that's true, then yours has always been one that leaves people feeling seen, encouraged, and a little more certain than they were before.

You deserve to be celebrated even on ordinary days. Your PPFG family might not be the strongest at most times, but we definitely know how fortunate we are to have one of our strongest COREs in you. Thank you for being a steady presence through the highs and lows and for reminding us, in more ways than one, what it truly means to be committed and keep showing up.

Happy birthday, Ms. Marra! We hope that life gives back the same strength, kindness, and sapience that you've generously shared with everyone around you.
