Today marks a meaningful milestone as I join the Full Knighthood Exemplification. Beyond the honor of becoming part of a distinguished organization, this journey is truly about embracing the mission of 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝, 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.”

One thing I realized in Parish Pastoral Council Planning is this: effective planning is not just about calendars, programs and activities. It is also a sacred moment of listening, discerning, and dreaming together as one community.

Yes, there were serious discussions and reflective moments—but there were also 𝒍𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓-𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒚 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔, 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔. Everyone was game. Everyone participated. Everyone mattered.

Because sometimes, the 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒔 𝒅𝒐 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆. They emerge when 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 d.

What happened was not simply the power of people present in one room. It was also the quiet movement of 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧.
