Sila yung tinatanungan kapag may problema.
Why?
Because knowing a lot is one thing.
Knowing how to turn what you know into VALUE is another.
You see this everywhere.
They know they're good.
The people close to them know they're good.
Other people have to understand it too.
And that's something a lot of smart people were never taught.
We were taught how to answer questions.
How to follow instructions.
How to become good at a profession.
Pero bihira tayong turuan how to communicate what we can do, solve a problem people actually care about, and ask to be paid for it.
And when an opportunity comes, hindi siya naghihintay na piliin.
He puts himself in the conversation.
At first, medyo uncomfortable talaga yan.
Especially kung sanay kang naniniwala na,
โBasta magaling ako, mapapansin din nila.โ
Pero hindi laging ganun in the real world.
Your boss might not know you want the promotion unless you tell them.
A client might not know you can solve their problem unless you make the offer.
People can't pay for value they don't know exists.
And that's why I don't think the goal is simply to become smarter.
Keep learning, of course.
Be excellent at what you do.
Pero habang gumagaling ka, matuto ka rin mag-create ng value, mag-communicate ng value, at humingi ng tamang kapalit for that value.
Because money usually follows problems that are solved.
The bigger the problem you can solve, and the more people you can solve it for, the more valuable your skills become.
So yes, intelligence can give you an advantage.
But it doesn't automatically turn into income.
At some point, you have to take everything you know and make it useful to somebody else.
Because being smart can make you impressive.
