JOB BRIEF
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.
Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.

JOB DUTIES
• Installation and configuration of the network infrastructure for the company’s customers
• Implement and support various network infrastructure solutions
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, access points, wireless controllers, network monitoring tools).
• Technical activities mentioned below are not necessarily mandatory from the start but the candidate must have the base knowledge and capabilities of learning in order to apply them in daily activities:
Cisco configure and troubleshoot:
1. LAN switching: Spanning Tree, VLANs, VTP, Etherchannel PAgP and LACP, Stacking, Private VLANs, protected ports
2. IP routing: Static routes, policy-based routing, RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF, Routes Redistribution, VRFs, GRE Tunneling, Multicast PIM
3. QoS
4. Network management: SNMP, NTP, Syslog logging
5. Security: IPsec VPNs site to site, DMVPN, Access-lists
6. IP services: DHCP, HSRP and VRRP, NAT
7. Wi-Fi: SSIDs, Standalone APs WLC, CAPWAP, Splash page, WPA2-Personal and Enterprise, Channel allocation, Protocols and frequencies, FlexConnect, QoS,
Meraki configure and troubleshoot (nice to have):
1. Meraki L2 and L3 switches: Management, STP, ports, OSPF, Stacks, Port isolation, Aggregation ports, Scheduled ports, QoS, Static routes, Multicast, DCHP, Stacking
2. Access-points bridge, tunneled NAT mode, Splash page, Air Marshal, Channels, Traffic shaping
3. Security appliance: DHCP, Firewall rules, Auto VPNs, High Availability
Troubleshooting and monitoring tools: Wireshark, Port query, Cacti
Operational capabilities:
1. Working with ticketing application tools
2. Take over tickets from clients and track them from opening to closure based on the existing Support Process (changes and incidents) and contract SLAs
3. Gather the information needed from the client in order to complete the ticket
4. Follow-up constantly with the client and/or Global Providers for status updates
5. Monitor network health, responding appropriately to network alerts and events to diagnose and troubleshoot network issues
6. Complete reports based on the internal policies
7. Participate in teleconference sessions with the client
8. Update network diagrams and procedures
• Provide direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations
• Interact with vendors and third parties for problem resolution
• Maintain multi-site network operations with both private and public facilities
• Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Knowledge of network principles and hands-on experience
• Ability to implement, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, wireless controllers and monitoring applications
• Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, in both written and verbal means
• Problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Time management skills
• Very good command of English
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience
• Cisco certification: CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Security
• Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Three years of experience in network administration
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• A graduate and voluntary certification may also be preferable
