The first championship clash was a nail-biting rematch between the Pinay ballers and defending champions Thailand. It was a defensive battle from start to finish, with both teams locking down defensively and limiting scoring opportunities. The game went down to the wire, and the Philippines escaped with a 55-54 victory at the buzzer.

Ruiza Jhane Olmos led the charge with 15 points, while Maria Zuzzanne Singson and Ma. Christina Aubrey Lapasaran chipped in 14 and 11 points, respectively, showcasing their composure and poise all the way to the finish.

The second finals match featured two of the tournamentโ€™s best teamsโ€”the Philippines and Malaysia. The FIlipino ballers controlled the early stages, but Malaysia fought back, tying the game with a barrage of three-pointers.

Drama struck when key scorer Kenji Yob Moral was ejected after two technical fouls, allowing Malaysia to force overtime. Despite the setback, the Philippines dominated the extra period, thanks to clutch plays from Rhysus Rafael Bajenting and Rene Clert Baterbonia, sealing a 90-86 win.

Moral still led all scorers with 27 points, while Baterbonia and Bajenting added 21 and 20 points, respectively.

With these victories, the Philippines reaffirmed their dominance in the ASG hoops and cemented their status as a basketball powerhouse in the Southeast Asian region.
