The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Professional Teachers announced yesterday, May 12, 2026 the official results of the March 15, 2026 Licensure Exam for Professional Teachers (LEPT), with 14 out of 18 examinees from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) successfully passing the exam.
PLP recorded an overall passing rate of 77.78 percent for the Elementary Education category where seven out of nine examinees passed the said exam. All three first-time takers successfully passed, while four out of six repeaters also earned passing marks. The institutionโs national passing rate for Elementary Education was recorded at 56.03 percent.
Meanwhile, the Secondary Education category also achieved a 77.78 percent overall performance, with six out of seven first-time takers passing the test, while one out of two repeaters also successfully obtained a passing score. PLP likewise recorded a high overall performance for the national passing rate for Secondary Education, which stood at 73.10 percent.
Kristine Evangelio Sancho, a graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English from Batch 2024โ2026, shared that the moment felt surreal, especially since she was not able to take the LET alongside her batchmates.
โGrabe yung iyak ko when I saw the screenshot and found out that my name was on the list of passersโฆ It was such an emotional moment for me, especially because I was not able to take the exam with my batchmates before due to problems with my documents, so after months of waiting, finally seeing my name there felt unreal,โ Sancho said.
When asked what she could say to future LEPT takers, Sancho encouraged perseverance and resilience despite uncertainty.
โMga kapwa ko g**o, ALWAYS SHOW UP... Do it scared, do it uncertain, but never stop trying. I learned that success is not about feeling ready all the time. Sometimes, it is simply about continuing even when things get difficult. Passing the LET taught me that In the end, all the waiting, sacrifices, tears, and hard work become worth it once your moment finally comes.โ
The new passers and the summary of the performance of schools were announced at the official website of the Professional Regulation Commission, 39 working days after the examination was conducted at different testing centers across the country. Successful examinees can verify their ratings online through their website.
According to the commission, the schedule for online appointments to obtain the new Licensed Professional Teachers (LPT) Professional ID and Certificate of Registration in NCR will begin on June 15, 2026.
PRC also emphasizes that successful examinees must complete their registration in person and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.

๐๐๐๐ | The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) staged simultaneous research and art exhibits on May 8, 2025 at PLP Facade and HM Cafeteria, showcasing studentsโ creativity, innovation, and commitment to sustainability.
The events featured AB Psychology studentsโ outputs that integrated research, art, statistics, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 10 groups presented โEXPEriment for Change: Psychology in Action for the SDGsโ as their final assessment in Experimental Psychology. This is presented through assigned colors, acting as UN ambassadors while faculty members served as diplomats evaluating their work.
Organizer Mark Christian Francisco explained that the exhibit aimed to connect psychology with global challenges and its interventions.
โLast year, itโs mostly purely psychological interventions, now at least itโs more sustainable for change and encompasses research towards global challenges," he shared.
Meanwhile, freshmen AB Psychology students transformed the HM Cafeteria into a creative gallery following the title โWhen Art Meets Data: Visualizing the Mind in Metrics.โ
The exhibit, a collaboration between Art Appreciation and Psychological Statistics, encouraged students to interpret data through design principles and artworks made with recyclable materials.
Mr. Francisco emphasized that combining art and statistics made learning more engaging for students.
"The more youโre trying to change the modality of learning based on their preference, the more likely they are to appreciate learning,โ he added.
Through these exhibits, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) demonstrated how psychology education can extend beyond classroomsโintegrating research, creativity, and sustainability while giving students innovative platforms to express knowledge and advocacy.

๐๐๐๐ | The English Society concluded Literature Month 2026 on April 25 as the College of Education staged PLP's first-ever musical productions, Into the Woods and Encanto: The Musical at the university auditorium.
Performed by sophomore and freshman students of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, this marked the first full-scale musical theater performance in PLP.
Into the Woods, performed by BSED 2A English under the direction of Maria Asuncion Daclag, combined the stories of classic fairy tale characters including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack and the Beanstalk.
Daclag described efforts and challenges encountered during its development. โPioneering a theater play in PLP was like taking a risk to start something that wasnโt there before,โ Daclag said. โIt wasnโt an easy process because there were uncertainties, limitations, and moments when things didnโt go as planned. But what mattered most was that we stayed committed and trusted each other throughout the process.โ
Meanwhile, BSED 2B English staged Encanto: The Musical under the direction of Dale Baluyo, portraying the story of the Madrigal family, emphasizing themes of belonging and resilience within family expectations.
Baluyo emphasized that the production aimed to inspire students and highlight self-worth.
โTo the PLPians who witnessed our performance, we hope you carry this message with you: you are a miracle,โ Baluyo said. โBelieve in your own capabilities, regardless of what others may say, because real change begins from within. You hold the power to shape your own story.โ
The event marked a milestone as the College of Education and PLP staged its first musical theater productionโan effort organizers hope will open the door for more theater performances in the future.

Reflect, Realign, Renew: A Behavioral Growth Seminar for Personal and Professional Development.โ
โBefore we can change our students' lives, we must examine our own,โ ani Fr. Gutierrez.
Behavior is often a symptom, not the root,โ at โWhat you don't see in yourself may be what the students feel the most about you.โ
