🧸 Little Puppets, Big Imagination! ✨

Sometimes, learning begins with a simple puppet and a whole lot of imagination! 🧸💛 Our learners are enjoying time with their classroom puppet as they explore, talk, play, and bring their own ideas to life.

Through this playful experience, children are encouraged to use their imagination, express their thoughts and feelings, and practice language as they talk to and through their puppet. Interacting with the puppet also supports listening skills, communication, creativity, and social-emotional development as they take turns, share ideas, and explore different ways of expressing themselves.

More than just a fun classroom companion, the puppet becomes a wonderful tool for meaningful play and discovery. 🌈✨ At WLC, we believe that when children are given the freedom to imagine, create, and express themselves, every playful moment can become an opportunity to learn and grow.

Little Books, Big Imaginations!

For our little learners, reading begins with enjoying books, exploring pictures, and listening to stories!

Our Pre-Kinder learners enjoyed browsing colorful pages, listening to their teacher read aloud, and sharing books with friends. These joyful experiences nurture early literacy, vocabulary, listening comprehension, imagination, and communication skills.

Through book sharing, children also learn to take turns, share discoveries, listen to one another, and build meaningful friendships.

At Woodstock Learning Center, we believe that a love for reading begins with joyful experiences, curious minds, and stories shared together.

Because every story brings new discoveries and every shared book brings us closer!

🍕 Shaping Up Some Pizza Fun! 🍕

Learning shapes became extra exciting when our little learners turned them into a delicious, hands-on pizza-making experience! ❤️

As our culminating activity for our Shapes topic, the learners had the opportunity to recognize and apply what they had learned about circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles in a fun and meaningful way.

From the rectangle-shaped bread to the circle-shaped hotdogs, square-shaped ham, and triangle-shaped cheese, each ingredient became a wonderful reminder that shapes are all around us—even on our pizza! 🍕

The learners enjoyed spreading the pizza sauce, arranging the different ingredients, and creating their very own shape-inspired pizzas. More than just making a tasty treat, the activity encouraged them to identify shapes, follow simple steps, develop fine-motor skills, make choices, and enjoy learning through real-life experiences.

It was truly a wonderful way to wrap up our Shapes topic—with little hands, big smiles, and lots of pizza fun! 🍕✨

At Woodstock Learning Center, we believe that learning becomes even more meaningful when learners can see it, touch it, do it, and enjoy it. 💛

Our Grade 6 pupils put their learning about card catalogs into practice inside the WLC Library! Through this hands-on activity, they created and organized card catalogs while learning how information about books can be arranged systematically to make resources easier to locate and access.

More than just an activity, cataloging helps our learners develop organization, information-searching, and library skills that support them as they become more independent readers and learners.

As we celebrate Literacy Month, activities like this remind us that literacy goes beyond reading words—it also means knowing how to find, use, and navigate information. 📖✨

In GMRC, our students poured their love, creativity, and gratitude into crafting handmade paper bouquets for their parents.

Beyond learning about art and craftsmanship, this hands-on activity is a beautiful way for our children to express appreciation, honor, and deep care for the people who take care of them every single day. Teaching them gratitude early on helps build the compassionate, thoughtful hearts we strive to nurture at Woodstock Learning Center.

To all our wonderful parents these blooms are a little reminder of how much you are loved! 💐
