Pasay City Police and Schools Division Office Celebrate Successful Culmination of Project R.E.A.D.Y
Pasay City, May 23, 2024 at 9:00 AM– The Pasay City Police Station, under the leadership of PCOL MARIO L. MAYAMES JR., Officer-In-Charge, through the Community Affairs Section led by PCPT MARK JUN D ANAVISO, Section Chief, in collaboration with the Pasay City Schools Division Office, headed by Dr. Joel T. Torrecampo, Schools Division Superintendent, and Ms. Norma Jamon, School Head of Jose Rizal Elementary School, held a Culmination Ceremony for 300 Grade 6 students who successfully finished the Project Resistance Education Against Drugs for the Youth’s (R.E.A.D.Y) four modules conducted from March 4-25, 2024, at Jose Rizal Elementary School, Pasay City.
During the ceremony, Mr. John Benedict Zolina of Grade 6, Section Andres Bonifacio, shared his impressions and lessons learned from the program. Additionally, Mr. John Hendrix B. Arañez, also from Grade 6, Section Andres Bonifacio, led the Pledge of Commitment, inspiring his peers to be good examples and advocate against substance abuse.
The ceremony highlighted the students' achievements through distribution of certificate of completion, acknowledging their dedication and effort in participating the program. School officials and teachers were also honored with certificates of recognition for their invaluable support, which was instrumental to the program's success.
Hon. Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, the Guest of Honor and Speaker, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the students and expressed her gratitude to the teachers of Jose Rizal Elementary School, DepEd Officials, and Pasay City Police Officers for their commitment to the successful implementation of Project R.E.A.D.Y. She emphasized the importance of such programs in shaping the future of the youth and ensuring a drug-free community.
Certificate of Recognition was also given to Project R.E.A.D.Y officers: PMSg Rondel Asuncion, PSSg Jeremiah Gocalin, and PSSg Ann Alegrado for their role as facilitators of the program. Their dedication and hard work significantly contributed to the effective delivery and success of the program.
The culmination of Project R.E.A.D.Y marks a significant milestone in the joint efforts of the Pasay City Police and the Schools Division Office in promoting drug education and prevention among the youth. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to resist drug use and to foster a safe and healthy environment for the community.
