Likewise, A TEACHER underscores and levels up the role of transformative education as a vehicle of progress for every sector toward dynamic national development. MISSION:
In the fulfilment of this vision, A TEACHER aims to improve the Philippine Education System and highlight the transformative role of education - from community to national development. Through creation of holistic and inclusive advocacies and formation programs, we at A TEACHER, make it our mission to promote and realize the professional, personal, and organizational development and welfare of teachers, students, non-teaching personnel, academic institutions, and every sector of the society. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
• Foster unity, cooperation, and sharing of resources among teachers, other school personnel, students, and academic institutions toward self-empowerment & renewal;
• Promote the development & welfare of teachers, and other school personnel in order to become better role models to the youth, and effective agents of social change;
• Contribute to the development of the teaching profession & improvement of Philippine education system.
• Underscore and expand the role of education as the catalyst for improvement and dynamic development of each sector toward national development. LEGISLATIVE AGENDA:
Sponsor or support proposed laws that aim to:
• Improve the quality of education in the country;
• Promote the professional development & economic welfare of teachers, other school personnel, and other stakeholders of the community;
• Provide government assistance or incentives to private schools in recognition of their complementary role with public schools;
• Create progressive laws, review existing educational laws, and propose amendments when necessary;
• Conduct research in aid of educational legislation & policy formulation;
• Assert the holistic role of education in community development & nation-building.
