𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀

The "𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀" training-seminar launched its opening day on September 3, 2026, at the Jaime Ferrer Hall at the Parañaque City Division Office.

The peer facilitation training opened with 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗦. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗼 leading a session on mental health fundamentals. He outlined key protective legislation, discussed populations prone to discrimination, and defined emotional well being before having student leaders write out their personal advocacy pledges on a "Commitment Tree."

Next, 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗮 𝗖. 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘇𝗮 introduced essential facilitator skills through an interactive superhero identity exercise. The session wrapped up with a "Road Map" group activity where participants assessed their own strengths and identified competencies to work on.

𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 then led Module 3, teaching participants how to handle peer support groups, practice empathy, and maintain a safe environment for open dialogue. Spanning two sessions on September 3 and September 7, 2026, this module included group identity presentations and practical simulations.

Finally, 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝘀 presented the last two modules. She first emphasized selfcare methods to help facilitators avoid burnout, then explained the referral protocol for handling situations beyond a student leader's scope. The event concluded with self-care mapping and a bingo activity to reinforce the key concepts.

This mental health training aimed for student leaders to become peer facilitators to properly help those who are struggling with problems in their day to day lives.

Ngayong araw, 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟭 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, ating binabalikang tanaw ang mga bayaning nagbigay ng kanilang tapang at sakripisyo para sa kalayaan at kinabukasan ng ating bansa. ✨

Ang kanilang kabayanihan ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa bawat Pilipino lalo na sa mga kabataan ngayong henerasyon na ipagpatuloy ang pagmamahal sa bayan, pagtulong sa kapwa, at paninindigan para sa tama. Nawa’y hindi lamang natin sila alalahanin, kundi isabuhay rin ang diwa ng kabayanihan sa ating sariling paraan.

Hindi kailangan maging isang sikat para tawaging isang bayani. Sa maliit na bagay na pag tulong at kabutihan sa kapwa natin, nagsisimula ang tunay na kabayanihan!
