We know what triggers are, but have you heard of glimmers? They are tiny, seemingly insignificant moments that bring you peace, joy and serenity. In the same way that triggers spark a negative feeling in you, glimmers spark positive ones. Some examples of glimmers are:

🌈 seeing a rainbow
🐶 cuddling a pet
🥐 smelling freshly-baked bread
☀️ feeling the sun on your skin
☕️ first sip of coffee
😃 smiling to a stranger
🛌 soft cottony bedsheets

Dear curators, when you develop the habit of paying attention to your glimmers, you are able to feel more relaxed and happier. So today, won’t you look out for these micromoments that truly make your heart smile? Your inner self will be grateful for this. I promise! 💙😃

It’s the end of the work week, but for most of us, the weekend also means housekeeping and more chores. Yesterday, I treated myself to affogato al caffe. Giving myself candy each week is so important! I feel so loved and nurtured. It might sound a bit shallow and exaggerated, but it really does feel this way. Dear curators, have you tried this? Please promise you’ll try if you haven’t. Oh, and it doesn’t have to be just one treat. The macadamia choco chip is mine too 😋.

Hello dear curators. I’ll let you in on my word for the year. It is CLEAR.

This year, I will be:

✨ Intentional - I will be clear in what I want and let my thoughts reflect in my words and actions

✨ Cohesive - I will be clear in my initiatives and have a compelling message

✨ Simplify - I will clear as I go and hold on to what matters

✨ Authentic - I will be clear on who I truly am and embrace my uniqueness. I will be clear on my branding so that I am truly the epitome of me. (I really love this last sentence 💙).

Who has a hard time putting away holiday decors, raise your hand? 🙋🏻‍♀️

In my journey of being intentional and simplified, this time, I made sure to use a few decors and only those that bring so much joy. Moose here has been with us for years, but what’s different this time is that he bears a handpainted gift made by my daughter. Seeing him always brings a big smile to my face and an even bigger smile to my heart. He may stay all year-round, hihi.

Happy New Year my dear curators! How has the first few days been so far? Have you listed your goals? Created a vision board? Or come up with a long list of resolutions for the year? I’m cheering you on every step of the way. You can do one of these or all of these. It’s all up to you! Whatever works for you is what you should go with. And if I may suggest, especially when it gets overwhelming and complicated, choose your word for the year. I find this to be super essential for me, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. It is extremely helpful in bringing focus and clarity to what you want to manifest into your life. It is like a concise mantra that instantly anchors you and guides your daily actions to become the person that you would like to be.
Some examples of words for the year are:

GRATEFUL
RESILIENT
INTENTIONAL
SIMPLIFIED
BREATHE
ABUNDANT
GLOW
ELEVATED

How do you choose your word for the year? Reflect on these questions:
💙 What top characteristics do I want to have?
💙 What qualities do I need to have to achieve my goals?
💙 How do I want to feel as I wake up in the morning?
💙 Which part of my personality do I want to focus on enhancing?
💙 As I close my eyes at night, how do I want to feel?
💙 Which of my core values is the most important to me?
💙 How do I feel like as I spend my ideal day?

Make an unfiltered list and most definitely, you will see a pattern. And just like magic, your one word will come out to the surface. You will definitely know, so trust yourself on this one 💙✨

When we see rest, it always is associated with a reward that comes from being exhausted or something that happens after a gruelling task. So it always somehow connotes relief, and nothing more. But it could be more than that, dear curators! It is definitely more than that! Rest does not always mean just taking a nap or sitting still doing nothing. You can infuse fun and happy - and still be resting. Here are some ideas:
💃 dance to a happy tune
🍹 concoct a refreshing drink
📺 watch a comedy
🍭 have a colorful lolly
💐 make a flower arrangement
🧶 crochet a plush
🪁 fly a kite
🛁 enjoy a sudsy bubble bath

Have a happy kind of rest!
