“Ma’am, nabasa ko po… pero ‘di ko po naintindihan.”
A simple sentence, yet it echoes the reality of millions of students across the Philippines-- learners who can read but cannot fully understand. Words that reach the eyes, but not the mind.
Meet “Ana”, a student whose story reflects the silent problem of educational illiteracy. Her experience mirrors the struggle of many Filipino learners whose dreams are held back by a lack of true comprehension.
Our advocacy, 'E-Basa: Using ICT to Combat Educational Illiteracy', was created to address this growing epidemic. It reminds us that literacy goes beyond reading words; it is about understanding life, opportunity, and hope.
In this documentary, we share “Ana’s” story-- a reflection of countless students who silently battle with comprehension. Through E-Basa, we use ICT tools to make learning more accessible, interactive, and meaningful.
Together, let’s shape a future where technology empowers every child to learn, understand, and dream beyond limits.
